So this is actually going to go on an MR2 but I fear to ask this on their board for fear of getting reamed, and I prefer hondaswap's members. So I want to run two boost controllers and switch between the two with a valve. I want to use some cheapy ebay boost controllers that are "cabin adjustment". They have the actual controller with a knob, and also a little T with the ball and spring in it. My question is, would I be able to use only one of those little T pieces and run both controllers to it, or would i have to use both parts? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

why not just spend the money on an electronic boost controller or a dual stage?

That doesn't answer my question.

It's a cost issue. I'm not spending $200 on a MBC. I don't car how good it is, no manual boost controller is worth that much. I had a Greddy Profec B spec 2 and i have to say...it sucked. Thing would not hold boost accurately and i'll take solid engineering over techno-garbage anyday.
 
i dont see why it wouldnt work in theory. why not purchase what you need and try it out?
 
It's already ordered and on it's way. Just looking for an opinion on it. If it doesn't work then i can just use the two T pieces
 
you'll need to make 2 seperate loops with a complete on/off lever of some sort.

just make sure your fuel maps/tune is set to take both boost pressures. or you'll run lean or rich depending on which map you tuned on...

You can just have them inline with the low-boost controller in front of the high-boost controller; and have a bypass switch to go around(bypass) the high-boost controller.

This way, with the high-boost solenoid bypassed, once the pressure is released from the low-pressure controller it will actuate the wastegate accordingly. With the bypass off, the pressure would have to build enough to open the secondary(high pressure) controller before pressure will actuate the wastegate.

This is going on an MR2 and a stock Gen 2 3SGTE ECU will correct fuel for up to 17 psi on 93 octane.
 
The day after my friend put a manaul boost controller on his duece it blew up from 15psi off the stock CT26, and he said the same thing.
 
been running 17 with an FCD for the last year with no issues. Made 204 whp at 10 psi and 238 on 17 both done on 93 octane pump gas and A/F was at 10.9 on both runs
 
10.9:1 is perfectly acceptable. Seeing as 11:1 is ideal for forced induction. I'd rather be a little rich than lean, wouldn't you?
