Hey guys iv been reading around a bit i just got a zc 5 speed tranny for 200 bucks. do i need 90-91 integra axles for it to work in my car?

plus any other info anyone has on it (good or bad) is appreciated.

Uuuhhh. No those axles only work with B series, the zc trans should bolt up no prob..since they were stock in that body in japan..DOHC ZC?? or SOHC ZC? it dosen't matter i'm just curious

i think i need the half shaft and integra axles for the dohc tranny. but the sohc seems to be the same as d15-d16.

ZC equipped Hondas had equal length axles and a intermediate shaft. You need those parts, im not sure of the 86-89 integra parts will work or not.

this fucking sucks... everywhere i read it says different shit. i don't know what to do!

If you really get in a bind use the final drive out of the zc in your dx,the dx trans has the same gear ratio as an si/zc trans just the final drive is lower. dx=3.88-1 si=4.25-1 hope this helps

It does matter.

DOHC ZC uses the intermediate shaft(paired with 90-93 Integra axles). SOHC ZC uses unequal. The Integra unit does not work correctly, you specifically need a DOHC ZC intermediate shaft for it to work correctly.
If you have a SOHC ZC, your stock D axles will work.

They use different differential bearing sizes. You'd need to use a Si/EX(large bearing) differential.

look inside the differential where the axles go in and count the splines - if it has 25 splines, it uses the stock unequal length D-series axles - if it has 27 splines, it uses the ZC intermediate shaft (no other shaft will work) and equal length 90-93 Integra axles
