everything in my apartment is either N or gigabit, and some 10/100 adapters actually achieve higher speeds, the xbox may or may not be different, so why not?
to hell with running cable everywhere and to hell w/ wireless....
this is what i use... just plug it in the wall and it sends the signal through the power lines

yeah i dont trust those. enjoy your cooked electronics after a power spike or your house gets hit by lightning.
I've been playing some pretty frantic FPSs on my PS3 over wireless lately and it seems to be doing fine. Never tried XBL over wireless though...
been using them for over 3 yrs now and not a problem yet..
Its pretty bad honestly. My buddy was on wireless when we were playing Spec ops on MW2. It was laggy as shit until I hosted it, it was still there but not as bad.
yeah my ps3 is slower on wireless, so its wired. and I sold my old xbox wireless adapter since i am wired in. but I was interested in the n adapter for the speed
so I figured the N adapter will be faster than wired since the ethernet port on the xbox is a 100BASE-TX.
sure $100 is kinda high but the N adapter that came with my router sells for $80.

I have a wireless G adapter for my 360 and used it for about a year and a half just because. It worked fine for Halo 3 and such but now that my gear is set up completely diffrent I just cut myself some cable and run a hardline now.
Once I settle into a more perminate place housing wise then I may consider it more seriously.

well i did get the N adapter and have to say its just like the old one. I get 3 to 4 bars on xbox live during the game and on wired i get 4 bars. on MW2 with the wireless it was a little laggy and when i went to the online screen it took awhile to connect. so I am staying wired
yea i sold it within a couple hours.
You can too, just ask BDN. I have a cable running from the modem in his room, through our conjoined closets, through my bedroom, through the hall, down the stairs and around the corner to my wireless router I'm using as a switch.
