Senate Health Bill's Cost Put at $849 Billion - WSJ.com

Cliffs:

Senate dem's plan to cover an estimated 94% of Americans.

Every American required to purchase health insurance after this passes.

Individual states may opt-out.

Americans receiving healthcare thru their employer will not see major changes.

Insurance companies no longer able to charge premiums in relation to health, can no longer deny coverage for "pre-existing" conditions.

IMHO - the bill makes no mention of procuring more doctors to deal with the drastic increase in "insured Americans". Time for the lines to pile up.

I cant wait for DMV style service at the hospital.

people like me are going to be pissed off because our insurance doesn't get affect. but where is that $849 billion coming from?

oh yeah, the working taxpayers. so now i'm going to pay for my own insurance and help pay for 94% of americans.

also, my insurance isnt' lower if i'm healthier. if i dont' get in a car accident or get tickets, car insurance goes down, shouldn't health insurance?

time to vote republican senate and congress, not just president.

Not to mention it is not the god damn federal government job to provide health insurance. They want to lower rates and insure more coverage then allow insurance companies to be competitive in every state and network and for the love of christ look at Tort reform.

I mean this isnt exactly rocket science. When you have a system that is so jacked up like our health care system is now how in the hell is anyone supposed to lower costs? And you know how everyone gets pissed at someone for using their insurance when someone has the sniffles at work and they go to the ER at 2am on a Sunday. Well times that by 1.2 million.

It blows my mind that so many people can get behind this when the Constitution does not allow it. But I guess we gave up on that a long time ago. Oh wait, no we didnt. Everyone was bitching First Amendment when people called the Bush protestors un-American. I beilve Mrs. Clinton also said something to the effect of "I will say whatever I want, because the Constitution allows it" I am paraphrasing here but that was the intended message. I guess it must be a wonderful world where you get to pick and choose what applies and what doesnt.

And also keep this in mind. For the first time in American history it will be illegal for someone to NOT purchase something.

Last month, i made my bills with a whopping $40 to spare. i'm not going into debt over something i don't want or need right now just because big brother wants you to have it.
