hi i have a 91 civic that i just put a 90 integ b18a1 into and i was just wondering if anyone could tell me wich wires i have to change or splice for the wireing harness i have both the integ wire harness and the civic is an si harness (the previous owner spliced it cus car is a cx and he did a zc swap) i have a friend who is going to do the wireing for me but hes taking to long to start it and well i really just wanna get to driving this car so if anyone can tell me wat i have to do to the wiring harness to make this swap work would be great
 
If your car is an Si or already converted to Si spec it will be pretty much a plug and play, you may have to lengthen a few wires here and threre.
 
ahh ok cus i have had afew friends who said that and then i have had afew friends who said i might need to add afew wires so i thought i would check out here first
 
there is no cx ef so figure out the chassis first
 
well my car is registered as a cxx model all i kno is is that it wasnt an si and the previous owner changed it to an si engine from japan (zc) and right now im tired of waiting for my buddy to wire the b18 in so i kinda was wondering if anyone cud tell me wat i need to do to wire it
 
well the si motor is a d16a6..the zc is not the si motor...its kinda like it(if its sohc)
but we need to figure out the chassis before we can do wiring..
if its si or hf then the motor harness will plug right into the motor(if its obd0)
if its anything else you have to convert to mpfi
 
well its obdo and ya its a sohc zc so its the japan version of the si from wat i have heard and i have friends that say that im gunna need to change some of the connectors like splice in some of the connectors from the integ harness to the civic harness i havent really tried to plug in the civic harness because im afraid im going to f something up so thats why im comeing on here and trying to get as much info as possible since this is my first motor swap on a honda and well this is going to be my daily driver so i dont want to be shorting anything out and making more work for myself cus i already tried to fix my zc tranny wich i broke the first/second gear fork (reason why i am swapping ) and im just really gettin tired of workin on this car so if ur sure that all of the connectors will fit i will try it tonite and if i run into any problems i will post them
 
if it has a SOHC ZC in it now, the 90 B18A1 should just plug right into everything - it would be best to use the 90-91 Integra PR4 ECU
 
yes i kept the pr4 ecu and the integ harness and i will try tonite to plug everything in i will be going to try it in about an hour or 2 and i will keep u posted if i have any problems or if it works thnx for ur help
 
i think so like i think the cx is bottom of the line like it was always a manual car yet i have no tach the previous owner put in one of those big ricer tachs but i got a crx si cluster that im puttin in soon so cx is prob our bottom of the line civic
 
ok i just hooked everything up and the starter turns but the engine wont start and there is a wierd sound in the dash when u turn the ignition on thinking its the relay for the fuel pump or sumtin
