So NHPD pulled me over this morning.

And gave me a written warning. He bitched me out because as I passed him doing 25 mph (in the school zone by my house) I didn't have my headlights on. It was foggy, but I had more than a 1/4 mile visibility. I was taught to use my discretion if the visibility is less than that, but I should be fine. Hell I could see the sign for the police station from my house that is around a half mile away.

I drove by him as he was flashing his headlights on and off. I don't pay attention to cops sitting on the side of the road, I pay my attention to the traffic, looking for kids and traffic lights. Apparently he took offense to the fact that I put more of my attention to the road while driving than asshole cops sitting on the side of the road (with no lights on, btw) and came chasing after me.

He pulls up behind me as I was getting out at the office and tells me to get back in, takes all the shit for the VAN and gives me a written warning which I so badly want to shove back down his throat for wasting my time and tax money when I broke no laws. On top of that my dad apparently forgot to sign the registration card and he threatened him with a ticket for that.

On top of that he was rude, inconsiderate and never let me talk. I understand my rights, and I understand that could have turned on my headlights to avoid all this, but I had no clue what the hell he was flashing his lights at.

He told me that I was rude and copped an attitude with him. Well what the fuck does he expect on a Monday morning at 8 am? Mr Polite and calm?

Pushy asshole cops aren't what this corrupt police force needs. Enough of them get illegal free shit from restaurants and bribes from the people actually committing crimes in this town as it is.

This is twice now these assholes have harassed me over headlights because they're having pissy mornings.

Cops are nasty, I live in a area that has a few dick head cops but they know better than to pick on people. And I think if you file a complaint it will only get worse, you may become a scapegoat for those ass hats.

I saw a rare good cop on the way to work this morning on 355... asshat cops will pace everyone right at 55 and hold everyone up, but the cop today saw about 50 cars piling up behind him with no one in front, and bumped his speed to 70. Everyone else picked up too, I was scared he was trying to get us all to follow at his speed then pull some of us over from behind, but he got off the highway about 10 miles later. Guess he was just trying to let people get to work.

Everyone should leave feedback when they have any interaction with a police officer. This is a great way to hold them accountable.

I got pulled over last week, but it was jusr to check on me and see what i was up to this time a night, it was 3:20am ( i work nights and was in my lunch break). I went home to get some lunch and the street next to mine is usually the bad neighborhood, mostly for drugs though. I casually driving back to work and a cop passed by, i looked in my rear view and saw then brake and turn around. Since i knew what was coming i had all my papers ready. Sure enough a solid 30 seconds of tailgating me then clicked on the lights. The women cop (kinda hot) came to the window with me grinning (since i knew i didnt do anything).

You know how it is after that, "How are ya this evening? Where ya headed? What you doing? When you buy this car? How goods your permit good til?" My plates had the temp sticker on it still, but it was good for a day or 2 still. So after a couple mins in their cruiser with my papers they came back out, this time the women cop and her male partner. They started telling me that there has been drug activity in the area and that people have gone out on their lunch breaks to snort up or smoke up or whatever. I had my work badge, lunch box, iPod and diet coke in the car. I even asked if she wanted to check my lunch box, she said no its fine.

They were in fact quite friendly and i didnt doubt them for pulling me over, i mean im a young guy in a lowered prelude out at 3am......... all in all my 5 pull overs (in total) have been good minus my doing 49kms over.... that not soo good.

I was late getting back to work though lol.

I've never had any respect for anyone on the NHPD. They are so damned bored that they'll pull you over for ANYTHING at all. Take a corner too wide? Pull him over! Headlights not on when it's barely foggy out? Pull him over! I mean hell, if EACS (the schools) didn't even have a delay then it's obviously not too bad out there. I've never been pulled by a County or State trooper, but I actually respect them and would never give them attitude like I give to these tools. I'm pretty sure he clocked me as I was doing 25 mph too but couldn't get me on that. I'm done going that way though, I'm gonna go around the other side of the block to work from now on.

Cops are good great caring people for 2 years. Then they go to shit and become ass hats and/or corrupt. Perhaps police should have a 4 year shelf life.. Serve 4 years and then go do something else.

If the cop knew you were going to complain this much, he probably would have just written you a ticket.

Or accidentally rolled out a tack-strip instead.

And it would have been thrown out of court after I contested it considering I did absolutely nothing illegal. He was just pissed because I didn't turn on my headlights because I didn't know what the fuck or who the fuck he was flashing his headlights at. IMO all he did was distract me and everyone behind me from driving. Did I mention his Uturn made 3 people slam on their brakes in the oncoming lanes?

He's a douche, and I'm not whining or complaining. Just getting the petty bullshit out of my system so I can stop thinking about it.

If he cited you for speeding, it could stick. If school zones are 20 there too that is. I know they usually give a 5mph leeway, but theres no law saying they have to. Though rediculous, 1mph over is truly illegal.

This is what I was talking about in the other thread. If you know this particular PD are dicks then be overly safe, overly grandma. Don't give them a single reason to pull you over. When I first got my car I got pulled over all the time. Then it seemed like they saw my car and came after me. I claimed ricer profiling. I start driving defensively, and am polite when they pull me over, it magically stopped. Now a lot of the cops wave as I drive by because they know who I am.

Don't believe me? My last two tickets:
1) Late for work. Not what I consider speeding, but faster than I usually go. Got two $50 tickets instead of speeding.
2) Was in NY after picking up a motor. I was excited and was driving with "spirit". Caught me doing 50 in a 35. Had I been paying attention, I would have seen the limit drop and slowed down.

My driving abstract is nearly clean now. And since I've been driving I've been pulled over 20+ times. All my tickets are from my first year or so.

Don't file a complaint over minor BS like this. This cop will get the complaint, memorize your plates, and make your life hell. Happened to me a few years ago. Luckily my friend's father is a senior officer. I mentioned in passing this guy was bothering me, he told him to knock it off.

I know plenty of good cops.

Nah its 25. I was on the four lane state highway right by my house, there's a 100' section that is a crosswalk with a crossing guard for the kids to get to the elementary/middle school. When the lights are flashing its 25 mph, otherwise its 35.

There was no way he could have cited me for speeding. Today though I did have to use my headlights, it was more clear but there was so much moisture out there.
