I have a 00 Honda Accord that I purchased 4 yrs ago. Well now it's time to change the brakes. I live in the mid-west and it's a daily driver so I don't want to use drilled or slotted rotors. has any one used vented rotors and if so, will they fit with out any problems or mod's? and what about pads? semi metalic or ceramic? what are you guys using on your cars???

I run Baer Decella drilled and slotted rotors on the front of my Accord, I just wanted to be damn sure I'd not have to ever do them again after having the cheap ones warp twice. Your Accord is new enough you ca easily access them though. I did some research after I bought mine (bright idea, huh?) and discovered as 95b16 said that blanks really are the best route. To be honest, the particular ones that I bought feel rough when braking. Not quite pulsing, but definitely makes it feel a little rougher when you get the drilled and slotted ones. They are more for looks if you buy cheap ones- the metal composition is everything, and with Brembo or expensive rotors from Napa or the dealer you can't go wrong and they'll last.

As for pads everyone seems to run Hawk Pro Street, but I just bought Duralast Gold ceramics and they seem to stop quite quick. Like, with that bake setup (Granted I have 4-wheel disc) I do 60-0 in under 100 ft. I can hit the brakes at one phone pole and stop before I get to the next.
