Is awesome with ubuntu 9.10.

That is all.

glad to hear it works well with something haha. I am not a big fan of Chrome. And Chrome OS is shapping up to be retarted. Forcing people to only install on SSDs? Cool Google, way to promote openness.

I use chrome as a browser but haven't looked in to the OS yet. Internet Explorer is the broadest supported browser and probably always will be. I just installed Windows 7 and I actually have no complaints other than the lack of compatible drivers from manufacturers. Running it on a Aspire One Net Book.

os = fail.
it will be 100% online storage and shit... which is all privacy void

you think so?

MS is moving that way with consumer and workstation machines after windows 7... subscription based OS and applications, all your data accessible anywhere stored up in the internet cloud.

google is just moving faster than the big players is all.

windows azure is definitely going that way. It allows for cheaper computers, cheaper licenses and more control over first party fraud (cracked and hacked versions of software).

Also, Chrome is amazing. Transcript from today:

[10:30] me: man, i wonder what i did before chrome....this is some crazy fast shit
[10:30] me: makes me get frustrated with firefox
[10:30] me: :-D

I'd really like to know why no one told me about chrome being available (even as beta) for linux. I found out wednesday and i almost shit myself when i saw how fast it was compared to firefox.

I really dont want my shit stored in the cloud. Look at the Sidekick users that just got bent over a barrel a month or so ago.

Yep, a lot faster. For some reason it loads images differently too. Uses cache to load pages the same way I think. It's definitely my favorite browser. You can pause downloads but after reboot they will be gone.

That may be... I'll stick to my own server with multi-TBs of space and my periodic offsite backup. Much faster and definitely much more private that way.
