I bought a new vehicle on Saturday and it wasn't a Honda. I tried out that 2003 RSX automatic but did not like it. So I opted for a 2006 Chevy Colorado LT. It's got the 3.5l 5 cylinder automatic 2wd extended cab. The truck is a blast and has good aftermarket parts for it. It only had 50K on it. It's sunburst orange in color.:D

It looks like this just not 4wd:

well....couldnt be more night and day there lol....started out looking at a import 2 door sporty coupe...and ended up buying a domestic pick up truck....

Thats like owning a M3 and then trading it in for a Genesis

You should have gotten a Colorado with the 5.3l in it.

What are your plans for the truck?

:werd:
how dare you leave honda for a vehicle that more suitably fits your needs!!!!

Fuel economy was a big part and this one fit the bill. I don't have much plans for it. Any money I have will be spent on my bike and possibly a new one.

my friend goes offroading with his beat ass 93(?) 2wd nissan just about every weekend... and its open diff (1wd).... it does fine.... only limitation he has is ride height because he isnt lifted...

you cant go crawling with it.... but if you are moving fast enough you can make it through, up, or over most things with 2wd (1wd)

you just need to drive it like a 2wd quad, carry some speed with you and hold on tight

even in the snow... i know several people who drive RWDs through the snow with no problem... if you have decent tires, put a little weight over the rear, and know how to drive, its pretty easy to deal with RWD year round

with a locker a 2wd can be just as good as a 4wd

i've had both 2wd and 4wd
i love my 4wd in the snow
pushes through snow higher than the diff, which a 2wd definitely will not do

So I opted for a Chevy

When you walked out the door, the salesman high fived his manager and said :owned:!!

Ever hear of a Ridgeline??

Its cool though, you'll be vehicle shopping again in roughly 50k miles. If it doesn't rattle apart before then..

that sucks, now your one of those people i hate to have behind me at red light when its dark and your headlights are on

Ridgeline's are way too expensive. I've never had trouble with a 2wd pickup ever and I live in Canada. 2wd trucks have less moving parts to wear out, easier to fix, lowered trucks look better than lifted redneck trucks, the Colorado is not bad to look at either. Maybe if Honda built a truck that had a real box on it and when the truck is three years old and more than 12k less than the new price, I might buy one.

if honda's bed wasnt big enough you should have atleast checked out a tundra, or frontier then
