'Slim Fast' Recalls All Shakes, Diet Drinks

Slim Fast is recalling every last one of its popular diet drinks out of concern they may be contaminated with bacteria that causes moderate food poisoning.

About 10 million of cans of the diet drink Slim Fast are being recalled in the United States over concern they may be contaminated with bacteria that can cause moderate food poisoning. <= wtf?

ABC News reports that all cans and cartons of ready-to-drink Slim Fast products are affected, "regardless of flavour, best-by date, lot code or UPC number".
Unilever, which makes Slim Fast, (and fuckin soap) says the recall was prompted by "quality testing" that turned up Bacillus cereus, a toxin that can cause nausea and diarrhoea but is not life-threatening.
A Food and Drug Administration official says the inspection that uncovered the B. cereus was conducted after several consumers complained to the company.
The official says the FDA has received "a handful of complaints from time to time about this product but not recently".

the part that i bolded is what is so oddly inaccurate that i had to say something.


I just know that if i got food poisoning in any form i would not describe it as "moderate."

Giving you an upset stomach is moderate compared to rotting out your insides. If you think that's severe, then every White Castle should be shut down. Immediately.

well if i have food poisoning i don't think i would say 'oh yeah man it's not bad at all'
i figure that anything that wil disrupt your daily life could be called severe... but i see you guys' point, that the sickness itself is not severe. but then coupled with having to go to work with it.... well... have you ever had to work with diarrhea??? i would imagine that would suck ass.

that's where i was going with it, but oh well.
 
I drank Slim Fast before as a meal-supplement; it still gave me diarrhea. This was about a year or two ago. Even before that(about 4-5 years back), when my sister used to drink them, I tried one and it gave me diarrhea.
 
I forgot the pill out there, but there is one that makes it so you digest fat differently. It also causes anal leakage. Yes. People still take it.



I used to drink slim fast before they came out with things like muscle milk and the such for body building purposes.

It's called Alli. The box says specifically to wear dark colored undergarments as they are likely to be stained by the anal leakage...wtf

White Castle is by far the most pathetic disgusting excuse for food that has ever existed. Seriously, when Miramax was going to make Harold and Kumar, they put a bid out to all fast food restaurants. White Castle won and now the place is a stoner destination. You have to be high to eat that shit because if you actually taste it for what it is you would immediately reach down your throat and disembowel yourself just to get it out of your body. White castle is like fucking a fat girl. You have to be under the influence.

I agree.

Having said that, it does do the trick in a pinch. A couple times a year, if I drive past one, I'll stop and hit it up.
 
In college my roommate and I split a Crave Case after a night of drinking. We both puked soon after completion. I'll never eat that shit again.
