i know this has been beaten to death but i searched all over and couldnt find the answer i needed. i have an 89 hf or si not sure which one but to do the zc what all will i need as far as axels, harness, ecu, ect. please dont post something that was in another post i just need a straight up answer from someone that really knows.

dohc ZC or sohc ZC? - either one will swap right in using the engine harness that you now have (dohc requires minor wiring change at the distributor) - axles have nothing to do with the engine, just the transmission being used

OBD0 or OBD1? - OBD0 sohc ECU = PM6 - OBD0 dohc ECU = PM7 or PG7 (PM6 or PR4 can also be used, just don't work as well)

YES. He is absolutely right!! use the axels you already have.. the minor wire change is just the 2 blue wires in the bigger distributor connector, take them out of the connector and wire them to the cylinder sensor.

the pm7 came in the civic's, crx's, and teg's that came with the dohc zc... and i think the pg7 came in the 86-89 integra running a b16 Vtec. correct me if im wrong guys

PM7 came in the 88-91 JDM Civic/CRX Si models with the DOHC ZC engine - PG7 came in the 86-89 USDM Integra with D16A1 engine - the 86-87 PG7 is different from the 88-89 PG7 - the 86-87 D16A1 had vacuum advance ignition timing and the 86-87 ECU won't work on engine that has electronic advance, like the 88-89 D16A1 or the 88-91 JDM DOHC ZC

im trying the same swap into my hf rex dohc zc and is the dohc zc faster then dohc ls non v tec in an si rex

Depends on the driver! I've beaten B18B (LS non-Vtec) EF's with my DOHC ZC EF.

You should start you own thread tho!!

LOL. I don't know why i said the B16 ran a PG7. I'm running a PG7 with my ZC.
