I picked up another PS3 for the bedroom. I really didn't care what specs it had as long as it had wifi, so I grab the cheaper 299 one, I get home, open it up and hook it up then noticed that it says 250gb on the side of the box. I guess they pulled the wrong one from the back.

So what would you do?

I'm planning on going back tomorrow and asking if they want to swap out the units, maybe for being honest they will give me the used copy of MW2 I spotted for a reward, but I doubt it.

I did ask if I were to buy 2 PS3s 2 remotes, and MW2 if they'd cut me any deals but it was a no go. I guess giving me the 250gb unit was how he wanted to hook me up.
 
honestly, gamestop is so crooked in so many ways I'd take the bonus and keep my mouth shut. If it were a retailer known for being honest and fair I'd be inclined to go back but gamestop? screw em.
 
I havnt had any issues with them either.

I dont think Id make any money off that idea.

I think its 349.99 so I buy it for 299.99 sell it back to them for maybe $200.00 then buy the cheaper one for 299,99 sounds like they'd like that
 
keep it. if it scanned at 299.99 then its not his fault or yours. besides, those fuckers make a killing off the used games. buy it for 3 bucks and sell it 35.

so I want to spend 299 on the PS3 I got a 349 unit for 299 so I should ebay it.... sounds like a fail plan.

Yeah, game stop gives you little for your trade, marks it up, and sells it back for more, thats how they make money. If they pay so little, dont trade games in.

i agree^^^^^^^ they have never been very good to me. and i try to spend my money in one place if possibble. but i dont spend it there. i tried to take back a game 17.99. the guy that i baught uit from up there was working and said he remembered me buying it but couldnt take it back with no recipt. fucking douche.
 
The no recipit thing sounds like policy.

At any rate however, if you don't have a real need for it you could take it back and shock the shit out of them for returning it. The look on there face may be worth it.

yeah but the game didnt work, and i shop there alot. so policy is for a reason i understand but they where kinda hoes about it. anyways i dont shop there anymore.
 
Check your receipt. Is the serial number or model number on it? If it matches, you are 100% in the clear. If the model number is different and your ps3 eats shit (and it will sooner or later) you will have hell with warranty work.

ive never been asked for teh SN on the receipt when i turned in my 360 or ps3 for warranty.
 
Just register the one they gave you with sony and it should be fine. They just care about the number on the box/console. I mean think about it, how many of those systems are given as presents without receipts lol

for you ps3 owners, how long is the ps3 warranty??
I know for the 360 its like 3 years or something like that..
 
the 360 is 1 yr... but they have the extended 3 yr for the RROD error and another error.. everything else is 1 yr
