Need a tranny

So my tranny is going out in my car. I have the 90 EF Std so its the four speed manual. I am going to go ahead and get a 5 speed but I know I need axles and hubs to make the conversion. Is there anything else I would need like ecu? or any other wires or electrical units??? I didn't think so but wanted to know before I started piecing everything together. Thanks for the info.

Nope. just the axels and knuckels.

And the only difference between the SI and the STD axles are the ends that go into the knuckles. The ends that go into the tranny are the same.

you don't need axles and hubs in order to swap out your 4-speed for a 5-speed - you just need to swap in the 5-speed transmission, using your STD axles, hubs and shift linkage - nothing else is needed - just make sure that the 5-speed isn't from an 88 model car - the 88 transmissions have a different spline count on the input shaft that goes into the clutch disc and won't fit into your 90 clutch disc

lmao i just realized what i wrote. thanks for the correction jlicrx. i dont know why i said the axes and knuckles because the ends of the axels that go in the tranny are the same. as i said.
