Skyline seizures

the only problem i see is the government has loads of debts and they spend money on seizing cars....yes they were illegal but im sure that money could have been used on something other than worrying about cars that are not up to epa standards

thats the usual argument, but the fact is, its just like them spending time catching people speeding, its illegal, no matter how you look at it, you broke the law.
its law, and they are supposed to enforce it. you actually think they spend a lot of money on doing this?
most likely not. they just follow the registrations to the addresses, then seize the car and send the owner a bill/fine.

oh, they will be crushed.
what else would they do with them?
some may be used for undercover work to catch illegal street racers, some will be used as examples for other shit, but they wont be deporting them.

the only ones that are safe are the ones that are used as track/show cars and trailered to and from events not being driven on the streets.
thats the only way to legally own a skyline.

correct... ones that are unregistered or registered through SCCA for track only use.

IIRC, Motorex sold legal R32s or R33s. There's also a R32 somewhere around the beach here in NC; they drove it halfway across the state(to Winston Salem, NC) at a dyno meet, put down like 230whp IIRC(may have been more, but I remember all the turbo Hondas putting down more than the Skyline).

they did sell "legal" ones.
until they were busted for not actually making them legal.
therefore making them illegal

Easy way for the pigs to pull some money from rich auto enthusiasts. Eco PR/Fund-raising stunt. Government makes me sick, once again.

No, these were Motorex cars IIRC. The R32 were completely legal, but they used the R32 data/info to import and register R33 and R34s. I may have it mixed up between R32 and R33 though; but one of them was completely legal and should still be legal.

there are quite a few skylines of all generations on the streets of florida. i always thought they were legal.

The ones registered in other states may be legal, but I guess it's the Cali ones that are illegal. Who knows. There's a local guy that owns a R34 though, I might ask him if he knows about it(he owns some shop around here, might be Tuner Solutions).

Yup, that's him! Just wondering, was there also a white R34 there? That's the other Skyline I know of in NC.
