Will windows 7 run XP/Vista programs? was going to purchase COD4 to edge the boredom but don't want to spend the money unless its going to work.

also, are the corded Xbox 360 controllers with the USB connector able to be used on said computer without problem? will I have to download a driver to make it work right?

thanks in advance.

cod4 works fine on win7. i have it on my desktop and laptop, both running win7 64-bit.

i think you can make the 360 contoller work, but why? the kb/mouse works better

thanks man. I appreciate the input..

since I have never been much of a PC gamer, I figured getting a controller would make the gameplay easier. I am used to the controller as compaired to the kb. ill give it a try though.

have cod4, xbox wired controller and windows 7. works without a problem. but like crx said, i feel like the keyboard works better.

You will find that using a mouse you will be much faster and accurate with your aim.

That said, your actual questions have already been answered. Pretty much every game from the time xp released till now should work on 7.

thats definitely true when playing the PC version. When you play the xbox/ps3 versions you get some aim assist, so while you're aim might not be perfect the game makes up for SOME of your failings. Thats why the M40 was so effing deadly on the last MW.

I hate aim assist, it makes the controls feel rubbery. :|

I wasnt talking about the perk, i was talking about in general, but yeah, the perk + the game is what made people deadly with the m40 and a slight glitch with the acog scope. The aim assist (with the ps3) was if you were slightly off you still got the hit as long as you were in the area. I've had times though where my cursor is WAY off and i still got a hit.

mouse/keyboard on PS3 = own everyone online :D

i mean does it work with mw2. I know all usb keyboards and mice are ps3 compatible.

I forget what the dongle is called that lets you use a mouse/keyboard on any PS3 game with custom setups- not just using what the game allows- that's what I want to get and try out on the PS3. I'd still rather play on the PC though for speed and graphics, but more of my friends will probably be on PSN.

3 words about mw2 on the pc.

no dedicated servers. IW fail.

There are dedicated servers on PSN? I haven't touched MW2 at all yet. Best Buy and Target have it for $40 this week, so I've been thinking about it...

do yall use ergonomic keyboards/keypads or do yall use just regular keyboards? when i use mouse and keyboard my wrist starts to hurt after 4 or 5 min....

I use a logitec g15 keyboard and a G500 mouse. I love them
