That's cool, I'm saving up to get a smoking gun sportster frame. I suppose that's different. I think Mrs. Taco was into biking.

That's cool man, you do competitive riding or what? Does the lightweight mess with the integrity of the frame? Like if I take it off a curb is the frame gonna bend in half and make me eat shit?

Yeah I have raced when I was a kid and now am getting back into it. You want something that is light of course but compared to carbon to ti which ti doesn't break on impact like carbon would. My Dad has seen his friend back over his ti frame and it didn't bend the frame a bit just destroyed the wheels and most of the components. Fully built it should be under 18lbs.

That's cool. The most I've ever done on a bicycle are some mad ass drifts when I was a kid lol. I would go through 2 tires/summer. That's really light though. I don't think I could get into competative riding though. I have asthma, so it hinders that sort of activity.

I am using my Dad's old Dura Ace 9 speed group but this summer some time I will be putting a full Sram force group. Sram is really making some great quality parts. I have Sram Rival on my cross bike and love it. I have worked at a bike shop for 5 years now and my Dad is also in the bike industry so I get anything bike related at whole sale costs so its nice. Ti rides as stiff as carbon but you do not have to worry about it breaking if you crash it. Ti is also a lot smoother of a ride than aluminum. You could drive over a Ti frame then throw it in the ocean for a million year drive back over and it will still be the same as the day you bought it new.

Oh I will be posting more pictures for sure. I am going to start cleaning it tomorrow. My Dad called the factory and got a new decal set for it and asked the best way to clean it up and they said uses the fuzzy side of velcro and simple green. So hopefully the next day or two I can get it looking good again. I am going to apply a few of the main decals but not to much. I like the look of bare ti. I really wish I could show everyone a good picture of the welds so you could truly appreciate the craftsmanship of a hand made ti bike.

I got a mountain bike to Drake and I would love to live where you are just to ride around the mountain trails would be amazing. My Dad and me and some friends plan on going to Colorado this summer and ride a few mountain passes. When we went when I was a kid the pass we rode took 3 hours to get to the top and only 40 minutes to descend while reaching 45mph. I was going slow because I was young and scared but my Dad and his friends who ride/race all year round where going 60+ passing cars. I hope to do that this summer lol.

My bike is a built bike, not much on it from the original factory group besides the frame. I recently upgraded the seat post to a carbon lighter giant one. Do you keep ritchey in stock? Wanna hook it up on some components
Ohio has some decent mountain biking trails I ride. I have a Gary Fisher Marlin. I bought it used off of craigslist a few years ago, and it's due for an overhaul. Needs a new shock, and the last time I went riding I broke the seat post. It's crazy how expensive bike parts can get. I could easily surpass what I put into my civic every year.

Haha well we have ritchey but mostly carry Bontrager stuff instead. Being a Trek dealer we are pushed pretty hard to carry most of Trek's in house brands.Do you keep ritchey in stock? Wanna hook it up on some components

Haha I also have a Marlin that I have completely upgraded all the drive train. I am a big fan of Gary Fisher mountain bikes I would never purchase anything that isn't a GF. My cross bike is also a Gary Fisher. They make great bikes. The geometry is so comfortable and also easy handling on trails.
Very nice. I've never (in my limited experience) had any problems with carbon frames though. My old roommate's carbon (Univega 16" frame) mountain bike was pretty sweet- all XTR components- weighed 21 pounds with front suspension. I would have bought it off of him if I fit on it.
