Ok this is what I have, I have a 1988 Honda civic hatch CX which is the base model dx which is a 4 speed manual I am swaping a ls b18 into it Whig is out of a 91 integra obd0 I bough motor tranny, custom mounts, ecu, resister box, axles, the bigger spindles/hubs for the 5 speed so the axles would fit I also have the si harness and the b seris shift linkage and my d seris linkage I should have all I need to do this swap how do I easily and exactly wire this motor in I'm not a wireing guy at all

i tried that way already and it didnt work it turns over gets spark but i dont think the injectors are working i dont know whats wrong the big circle plug by the resister box driver side dx side doesnt match si side so i cut them and tried to match them up and they all wont match up i left with to many wires and i also dont know if i have to run wires from the distributor to the ecu cuz its sparking and its pluged in to the si harness i by passed the dx engine harness do i need that? if so how do i do it correctly cuz its not workin out for me plz help

I've already been there

I stuggled for over a year putting a '90 ls into my 89 lx, lets see if we can get you on the road this weekend. I do know my wiring quite well now, make sure you have correct pin outs for booth ecu's.
2 wires should run directly from the #1(brn) and #3(lt blu) fuel injector to the ecu. These arent in your harness they go from the inj. to the ecu.
Next is the distributor, yes two more wires should run from the dizzy stright to the ecu. A blu-yel wire and a blu-grn wire comming out of the dizzy, CAUTION here because there are doubles of these wires incoming and outgoing. It wont damage the motor but the ecu wont see the signal if u get the wrong ones. This should get u straight under the hood

now for the ecu you will have to find the specs for each ecu to double check me. My ecus were different years than yours and I'm not sure everything is the same. Here is what I had. The pr4 is the 90 ls ecu and pm5 was the 89 lx ecu. You should have a BRN wire running from your fuel injector #1 through the firewall. Put this into A1, the LT BLU wire from fuel injector #3 is running to A5. A yellow and red wire from your civic harness will be hanging out now, just terminate them so they dont short out on any thing.
That BLU-GRN wire from the dizzy is running to C1 on your ecu and the BLU-YEL wire runs to C2. Move the ORG wire on the civic harness from C1 over to B10, this is your crank sensor input. The WHT wire that was in C2 will now go over to B12 this is also a crank sensor input. Let me know if you throw any trouble codes.

Thanks for everyones help on this swap I got it running last night just gotta button a few things up and should be good to go um just dreading dealing with the shift linkage

Thanks for everyones help on this swap I got it running last night just gotta button a few things up and should be good to go um just dreading dealing with the shift linkage

Shift linkage is easy
1. find the straightest section
2. cut out 2 3/8in. mark twice cut once and make sure you keep the two halves aligned.
3. weld back together
4. done

ok so motor is in and running only thing left to do is shiftlinkage and exhaust no biggie i got it figured out but what i cant figure out is when i start it up it seems to start just fine and idle fine but when i give it gas it seems to fall on its face and then go up in RPM'S and im wondering if its cuz the ecu is codeing or because a sensor is bad im thinking TPS but unsure plz help

Ok I believe I did forget lol, TPS is the sensor on the intake mani correct? The one by the coldair intake if so all I gotta do is cut the wires?

what i mean is there is a 3 wire connector going into the tps. you want to switch the outer wires and leave the center wire in its place. i dunno how else i can explain it besides drawing a picture

rofl ty i just wanted to make sure b4 i did it so i dont fuck anything up ive been doin this swap for 3-4 weeks now should of been a 2-3 days process but ran into issues was unaware of lmao but thx for all ur guys help with this i appericate it.

3-4 weeks now!! dayum. i had my old motor out and b18b in and running in a little over a day. i didn't want to spend any more than i had to on renting the engine hoist lol.

No I had the motor out and new one in, in 2 days just the other stuff took longer cuz I work full time and have a kid on the way I'm lucky enough that my step dad has all that stuff in his garage lol so didn't have to rent anything, but Ty for telling me about the tps sensor seems to be running just fine. Thanks for all ur help

Ok one more question why would my radio not work after swap but dis before swap? Keep in mind I followed tje first converison harness diagram that was posted by D16sihatch so I still have a bunch of wires by the resister box that appear to go nowhere they match nothing cuz I had to cut the plus off each side of harness to match up wires I needed now what???
