Moving to San Antonio (not the NE, I know, I fail).

Working on the cloud project for RackSpace. Same money I make now, + extra for wanting to work second shift.

It's a pretty sweet deal because the cost of living is drastically lower in San Antonio.

I'm stoked, I just hope I can get everything squared away soon enough. I start on 2/8 and the super bowl is 2/7......I HOPE I get my cable by then or I'm probably gonna be chillin in a bar with a billion people trying to watch the game.

hooray san antonio! you can draw in and hook up with all the female service members on the riverwalk...

sluts.

congrats, second shift? twice as many hours then?

2-11pm is perfect. you can still go out and have a couple of drinks and get to sleep in, even if you have a hang over, especially on thursday nights. i say that because most places that i ahve been to (NorCal) usually only have specials on thursday nights, mostly for college kids.

but then again, it means waking up early to do errands at businesses that are open 9-5.

anyway, gs. what is that you do anyway? IT admin?

its no biggie. once im done training i will be
2 weeks 5:30am-5:30pm
2 weeks 5:30pm-5:30am
rotating (sans shift switched for coverage)
4 days on, 4 days off. its pretty sweet.

i would love a 2-11 M-F deal though. since im more of a night person. good luck

4 on 4 off is awesome. but, the switch from days to nights within 4 days, and then 2 weeks later, back to days is going to kill you.

oh, and sans means without :)

Yeah in college tuesdays and thursdays were def the busiest days at the bars. Business school is shut down on fridays so EVERYONE including profs went out on thursdays. And guess who usually spent the most money at bars? Yeah business students.

2-11 = no life.
oh well, good luck dude

I rarely do anything in the other hours anyway. The only person we know in SA is the friend that recommended me and he's second shift too.

Werd about the drinks, and yeah, i'll be a system admin.

Nice, I hear Rackspace is a good place to work.

thats what i hear too. it better be right cause im moving to a town i've never lived in to do something i've never done before.

they are over-priced :D tell 'em to drop prices about 10% and they'll be more competitive.
