hey guys ive alredy done the h22 swap last summer and now looking to do a targa top on my civic , how much will it cost and where can i get materials to do this project, plz help me out:D

you're nuts. the car will be a flimsy POS. you'll basically make the car have 0 resale, unfit and unsafe for the road, and well, just retarded.

well that wasn't the answer i was looking for but anyways i have a friend that did it to his 5th gen civic and its renforced with a roll cage and looks pretty good, so there has to be someone out there with some constructive advise for this project!!!!

well, it's your call dude.

everyone else thinks what you're about to do is retarded.

When you're sick of the car, it won't sell. Maybe get $500 for it if you're lucky for someone who wants the swap and then will send the car to the crusher.

I'd suggest spending the money on some paint instead of chopping it in half. but that's just me...

what do think about just doing a sun roof and shaved handles instead, then paint??

Sunroof is ok. There's many places that install aftermarket sunroofs. I would suggest having it pro- installed, as if you fuck up, your car is ruined.
Still, cutting into the car will reduce is ridigity, and will result in a slight loss of handeling.

he has an h22 swaped in there. probly doesnt handle too good anyhow......but i bet its fun on the highway!

or like ^ said, buy a sol and do a rwd conversion while you're at it

Big fan of contradicting yourself, eh?

DIY convertible jobs are a bad idea 99% of the time.

Plus, if you make drastic changes to the structure of the car you could be looking at an insurance nightmare too.

No one here is going to be able to answer a question like this for you. If you had the know-how to do this yourself, then you wouldn't be here asking about it, so obviously a customs shop is going to be doing the work. Start calling shops and getting quotes.

OR, if you have a friend that did this, then why are you asking us about it? Ask him!

For the cost of buying a good-condition Del Sol, swapping an H22 into it, and somehow converting it to RWD, you could just purchase an S2000...

umm.. if you have a friend that did it.. why the hell are you still asking us for advice when all of us have said its retarded?

Yeah, that's what puzzled me too.

If your friend did it, then...uh...ask him?

No, that would make too much sense...
