Alright, so I'm fairly new to COD: MW, so does anybody have suggestions for me for some good custom classes? I mostly play as Spec Ops, just to give you an indication of my play style. Keep in mind too that I'm talking the original MW here, not MW2. My GF got me MW1 for X-mas, so I figured I might as well play it for a while before I upgrade to MW2.

Any suggestions?

I liked the MP5 silenced with an m9 silenced using C4 packs and just running around everywhere with Marathon, Uav jammer, and dead silence.

I LOVED the M4 with the ACOG on it.

My take on classes is whatever works for you. But if you use juggernaut you will be cursed and screamed at. Ill fire up MW:1 today or tommrow and see what I have built out for you.

i still think you should have exchanged it for mw2. she would understand.

Yeah, I thought about it, but I found out that she got it at a Black Friday sale for like $20, so I figured I'd just keep it and see if I even liked it...

Cool, I'll mess around with those...

Yeah, if you wouldn't mind, I'd appreciate it!

for non hardcore I would run:

MP5 with red dot
Perk One: three special
Perk Two: stopping power
Perk Three: steady aim

To stick with your spec ops theme.

My work horse was:

M16 w/ red dot
Perk One: three special
Perk Two: stopping power
Perk Three: deep impact

(non hardcore)

For hardcore replace stopping power with sleight of hand.

Those worked out pretty well. Thanks for the tips!

No problem buddy. And unless you are are really worried about KpD then just mess around your classes and what not. That is how I figured out what worked for me, I mess around with my classes when I play pickup games that way I dont have to worry about upseting the regulars I play with.

i use 2 of drakes classes. another class is the same mp5 with silencer (for search and destroy) and then i have 2 m40 (sniper) classes that i play aggro sniper with.

M40, ACOG, Bando/Claymore, Stopping Power, Steady Aim.

Steady Aim with an M40 and ACOG makes you pretty effing ridiculous (with practice) at quick sniping. For a while that was the only class i was playing with and my K/D was usually in the range of 20/5.

I hated people like you Reiko. They'd run around the corner, scope and fire before I could even aim. lol

Dude, it took hours and hours of practice. Like focused practice on just certain aspects of how that class really works. I was good at it, not amazing, but pretty good.

I never did get it down on large maps though, so on stuff like Countdown and waterworks, i was total shit.

Do you ever get on your PS3 anymore Reiko? I've had a pending friend request for you for a couple months now, lol...

my controller broke. i haven't updated firmware on the ps3 and i've just been playing emulators since the left joystick is broken on the controller.

I'll at least log in and approve you, but i'm so low on cash right now i cant even afford a new controller.

Oh, right. Yeah I remember the thread about your controller...

And on a related note, for somebody just getting into the CoD series, is World at War worth picking up?

I enjoyed the single player aspect a great deal. The story is pretty well told. I will say though Veteran difficutly can go rot in hell. It shouldnt be called World at War it should be Grenades of War when playing on Vet difficulty.

Multi player is good I suppose but it seems to me that MW 1 and 2 have an extra level of depth to its MP that keeps me comming back. I havnt even prestiged yet for WaW but I still bust it out now and again just to break it up a bit.

Cool. I might pick it up then. I do enjoy multiplayer, but I love good single player games as well...
