95 teg, 97 engine

My brother has recently bought a parts car, (97 LS integra auto), with an excelent engine and is planning to put it in his 95 integra 5-spd. is it easier to change out the entire harness or convert the engine to obd1? im fairly knowledgable with hondas so any details would be nice

Convert the engine to OBD1. Don't try to convert the car to OBD2. That's just way too much hassle, and not as advantageous for tuning either...

im sorta in the same boat only my 95 teg is auto and my donar parts teg is a 96 should i just leave it obd1 or swap to obd2 with 5spd

Leave it OBD1. There's no real advantage to swapping to OBD2. And, if you want to talk about tuning options, OBD2 is actually a disadvantage...
