okay before you all say why would i do it rules are rules. The track Im running at changed the rules and have banned vtec motors in hondas. Now when i say its baned i just cant upplug the solinod and race they dont want anything to do with vtec. They know what computers are used for vtec and anything associated with it wont be allowed to be on the car. Now with that said I need to know what head i can use to make it a non vtec setup and also can i use a d16y8 manifold on it.

currently running a 16z6 but the bottom end let go so what motor options do i have? d16a6?

thanks guys kinda new to this stuff so any info you can give me would be great. by the looks of things I ll have a mini me swap up for sale seeing the top end will now be useless to me.

awesome, just run a non vtec harness and ill be fine? if so I think i have what i need to convert it over. sucks they did this, it was because of the b18 gsr's out there they baned vtec. oh well i guess .

lol id love to but they didnt come factory in a hatch, id get thrown out for sure. we already made an attepmt with one last year and an official heard and told us not to waste our time it would be banned before we pull it off the trailer

well heres something i have been wondering. my brother has a dohc zc motor, can i put a d16a6 head on it?

i guess i could do that. worst comes to worst i just picked up a 94 si for free from a friend that needs a timing belt the car body is beat to hell and really is only good for a engine so I may just pull the z6 out of it and put a non vtec top end on it and call it a day.

this is in a 94 hatch SI,

they baned the CRX last year cause it was to fast but the retard officials who i told them what was done to the car never checked into it till it was too late. And this year someone brung a GSR out and dominated the first half of the season so at the end of the year they banned all vtec stuff.

pretty much they ban what becomes dominant so they can still try and present it as a affordable class. They banned my neon out there 3 years ago and changed the wheel base rule to 103 so it wouldnt be allowed to compete. however they wont ban a regular civic cause that is 95% of the field so i bend the rules as much as i can without getting suspended. Last honda i ran out there was a 87 SI that was stupid fast. that was 6 years ago so yeah need some help on this heap.
