why we are all in HONDAs...

Actually I own a Honda for the fuel economy and mechanical reliability.

I have a feeling one of us is barking up the wrong tree here.

I drive hondas because of build quality. Its the little stuff.. Panels screw on instead of snapping in.. The backs of the plastics have little felt pads to stop rattles.. You don't get that on domestics.. They are stupid easy to work on and reliable as hell. The bolts are positioned so that you can easily get to any of them. They have built/casted tool recesses everywhere where they are needed. I don't own a wobble/jointed socket adapter. Don't need one.

Well, the old ones were built well, anyway. The newer hondas have moved down a couple of notches. Still reliable as hell.

That's what happens when you expand and start using US suppliers that mainly deal with big 3...

no way in hell that s2k is stock motor

I wouldnt be surprised. The stock S2k motor comes forged from the factory, "track ready". The stock compression, if im not mistaken is like 10:1 or close. With a monster turbo like what he has. Its possible. Theres and "Epic Tuning" video on youtube of a D16y8/Z6 with ARP studs on pump gas making 400hp, whether or not its gonna last as long as it would with proper parts, it is possible.

Yes the pistons/rods/crank are all forged, no they're not forged like you see nice aftermarket Pauter/whatever rods. They're still pretty pencil-like.

The stock compression is 11.0:1 for the F20C and 11.1:1 for the F22C. 400whp is relatively easy on the stock compression- power has been made up through 600whp with a compression drop and stock internals. I haven't watched the video on the 700whp one yet... will in a bit.

I had a feeling Calesta would put in some 2 cents on my comment, i was actually hoping he would.

Compression drop as in how so, pistons? If so, what other stock piston could handle such power.

im saying 23 psi on stock motor the pressure and heat would be to great. it aint goining to last but one pull

i know a guy locally that ran around pushing 20 psi on a stock block gsr motor for a loooong time. he ran low 11s on drag radials, making over 400whp. he had really good tuning, but still everyone thought it was a miracle the motor held together.

it finally did catastrophically blow up recently. it was 25psi that finally did it in.
