Yeap...i cancelled Verizon....Long story short...My phone was malfunctioning(randomly dialing the last number dialed/recieved, bringing up the calculator, bring up the internet). no idea wtf is wrong with it...I dont have insurance on it..(yes thats my fault). I had to pay full retail to replace my Env Touch, $410. I asked them if i could get the Droid for the upgrade price of $199. they said nope....i have to pay full retail value of $559. I said, ok so you'd rather loose a loyal 8 year customer who wants to pay $200 for a phone, it would be cheaper for me to pay my early termination fee and swtich the ATT and get a Iphone then to pay full retail for teh Droid? They said that's their policy..i said go fuck your mother

Went Att picked up the new 16gb 3gs...

pretty dam nice phone and i actually get better service at my house then verizon, which is very odd, havent brought it anywhere else yet

the wifi works well.

battery life sucks the big one though. i find myself carrying my USB charger in my coat.

That sucks Verizon screwed you like that. Good luck with the new phone though.

well, i won't say that they screwed me, they just weren't willing to give me a price on a phone that they give new customers, mind you who havent even paid a bill yet, or showed loyalty for 8 years.

it just makes no sense to me why you would want to loose a customer because you won't give them a phone for the price new customers get. I was under the impression that they don't make money all that much on phone sales.

So far service has not been an issue, actually, surprisingly, better at home in my room then verizon was and the same quality at work as verizon.

Nify little device here...now i just need music on it but streaming youtube vids is just as good

On a side note, my skullcandy ear phones sound amazing when playing youtubes vids compared to my Env Touch which was all distrorted, no bass, was horrible.

just a heads up on some verizon stores
they are just franchises
they have to pay full price for the phone, they make the money on the contracts

you know that sale they had where you could buy one droid eris and get the 2nd one free?
the stores have to pay full price on both those phones

you might have gotten a better deal calling the company itself, than a local retail place

yes, i had called verizon directly from the website #. i didnt go to a franchise store

iphone is good if not that many people have it in your area.

I live in the city and its tough, but once I venture across the lake or up the freeways out of it I get the best service ever.

Just got myself a samsung moment (android) and I effing love it. Wife got a crackberry. Paid 450 up front and we'll be paying 145 a month for unlimited mobile to mobile, data, and text with insurance on both phones and intl calling. 1500 landline minutes are what I'm paying for split between the two of us.

So far I'm decently satisfied with sprint.

Yet another hs post on my phone :)

I had issues with my cell phone where my signal just sucked, it would be fine then drop out, I'd have crappy coverage. Talked to version about fixing it or maybe replacing it, I had around 6 months to go on my contract so most all options were out. Is there anything we can do, I need a phone and would rather buy one from you and resign a contract then buy one off ebay, guy said hold on...... came back and asked me to pick out what phone I wanted, best part? only needed to sign a 1 year contract.

I avoid the random cell phone stores, always go into the main Verizon stores. or deal with them over the phone, I'm surprised they didn't offer any help They've always been quick to fix problems for me. I would have called back and talked to a difference person. Maybe they were new and did things by the book.

So does it piss any of you guys off with iPhones that you cannot multi task?

How much was your termination

dont know yet

On side note, the guy from ATT said they are coming out with a portable device that increases the signal up to 5000 feet from the location the device is plugged it...

Anyone here about this

I think you have to get it through your carrier.
