so i have a sol with 90xxxmi auto(d15). its blown atleast 2 head gaskets(1 since ive had it) and im lookin to get up and running again.

main ? is how imparitive is it to use new head studs? when i got the car i did the hg with help from machanic friend and we reused the head studs and a few mo later hg popped again. would new studs have prevented this?

at first we thought the previous owner over heated it to the point that made it pop. i dont know y it blew wen they had it. heat was the only think i could think of. and when we redid the hg we thought that the head might b warped. but went for it anyway. and then it blew. so #1 how hard is it to warp a head(n/a auto d15) and #2 do u have to get the head milled to fix it. or can i get a thicker hg and sandwich out the warp?

and as far as head studs could/would that be a reason y it would blow if they were reused?

are all head studs the same for d series? do they go by the block or head?
 
believe all d series is same but don't quote me on that but as far as the bolts go if it's blown that many time just replace them everytime u change the bolts it's more stress on them head bolts are special bolts that stretch I'd change em out just because but ez way to see if there good to hold them up look at tje threads and see if the threads are warped or stressed in anyway I so it's a must to replace if not you can chance it but you need to get the head resurfaced trust me heads are very easy to warp
 
ok so head ill b using (no cash to mill warped one) is a y7 and its going on the d15(b7). this feels likea dumb ? but do i get bolt for the head or block?

Just use the bolts that are for the head you will be using.
 
ive got a d16 non vtec head if you want we can work out a trade for the tails?
you can use your stock headbolts with this head..just needs to be cleaned up..damn near complete..minus the water temp sensor on the side..but you can use yours
