Rick Rolled Bitches!

Well, now that I have your full attention, *unless your still thinking about boobs* I have a quick question... again.

I am just about finished with my y8 build and the question came up for my D-Series.

Can you use a y8 aftermarket flywheel or clutch setup on the si transmission from a 90' Crx Si? Z6 even? I know the newer D's are hydro and mine is a cable. I may end up with a eg, but who knows?

Just a quick question and you will be greatly rewarded when answered lol. :D

I know for sure that every D from 92 till 00 is interchangable, dunno about obd0 trannys though. Should be, as I don't see why not.

BTW you should be banned for false advertising, I wanted some boobs

wow, if your stupid enough to believe the sarcasm, then please refrain from posting.

thx

count the splines on the trans and friction plate if they're the same it should work.. im pretty sure the engine-trans bolt pattern is the same..

yes it will work as long as your trans is 90-91...if its pre 89 the splines count is differant

umm, no.. this isnt the NWS forum.. i dont give a damn if everything is covered.. enough is showing that someone can get in trouble at work

awww sad face, my pitcher was removed. fair enough though, i suppose it's not work friendly content. that's my bad :(

Thanks guys. Work sucks but I guess it could be offensive or distracting to some. My old lady thought it was hawt. lol

I will try matching up the splines. I am planning on a fidanza flywheel and ACT Clutch for a d16y8 so you guys helped alot. thx

i've heard bad things about fidanza, just fyi

What exactly did you hear?

<-Ran Fidanza 7lb in both my old 90 Accord and 88 Civic.

To answer the original question, YES! The hydro clutch(92-00) is the same as the 90-91 CRX/Civic with difference I believe being the throwout bearing. 89 transmissions work too; they have the same spline count with the difference being clutch diameter. This means that if you switch to a 90-00 clutch/flywheel, an 89 transmission will work fine. 88s are the bastards(different spline count and diameter).

 Explained the best. That answered my question and I guess I will start ordering the setup for my 90' si Trans in the crx and if I end up goin with a newer eg then it should work also with the hydro trans from the y8. I thought fidanza was a good brand? What would you recommend? I don't mind hearing peoples opionions, except when I get called a ruh-tard. That's just retarded and btw, that word has parents all over the us wanting it removed from the dictionary for some odd reason. Sticks and stones parents, sticks and stones.

i explained the same thing above..lol but ive never had a problem with fidanza..ran one in my 95 civic..my friend ran one on his celica..my other friend ran them in all his cars..need i continue?
