i swapped an 93 h23 in my 93 accord. my dumb as forgot to change the clutch before i dropped the motor in. im running low on money at this time and have the clutch from the f22 that came out of my accord. i was told by a local honda dealer that the clutch will fit on my h23. my question is can anyone point me in the right direction or just flat out tell me how thick the stock clutch should be before i rip the tranny outta my car and put a clutch in that doesnt have much life left.:confused::confused:
 
Check a fsm, it should have a spec on how to determine clutch condition. I'd pick up an exedy stock replacement. Cheap and it will last you 100k+ depending on how you drive.
 
hey i have a problem my clutch pedal is all the way down and my gears dont go in but the car turns on. anyone knows wat it is????
 
if you shut your car off and your able to put your car in any gear, then its your clutch, or your master/slave cylinder
 
if you press your clutch, and you cant get it into gear the problem is probably in your clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder.
 
I also have a problem with my clutch when i engage it it makes a squeking noise and then it does it again when i release it all my gears work fine though. Any ideas?
 
Yeah, you have to pull the trans off the car. I wouldn't mess with trying to grease it up. With the amount of effort that it takes to pull the tranny might as well be safe than sorry and just buy a new one.
 
Sorry reread your post. Sounds like it might be the throw out bearing linkage. I would pull the tranny and inspect everything and make sure that it moves nice. Clean and grease anything that squeaks or doesn't move easily. If your throwout bearing seems worn, I would replace it.
