Got the ring of death or whatever on my 360... on the same day i finally get xbox live up and running. i was playing my first tdm on modern warfare 2 and the damn thing freezes up. now i have to send it into microsoft, blah blah blah..

i do have world at war on the ps3, but alas.. i have no friends to play with...

i miss my 360 :( i never had a problem with it until i brought the playstation home.. i think it overheated from jealousy lol. this post had no real point, just venting i guess, don't even think i've ever started a thread before lol.

There are a couple of guys here that have PS3's and a ton of us that have 360's. Check out the computer/electronics sub forum.

My 360 will be back in a day!

Should have got a ps3!!!!!! Ps3 ftw.......ftx?

it is funny how the console you list "for the ladies" is the only one that encourages you to get the fuck off your ass to play games... as the other two help fatten you up so you can "keep away ladies."

it's because all the games are super easy to play. plus, if you want to get touchy feely teaching them how to play golf and such, it's a great ice breaker.

I personally believe that PS3's are better.

Reasons?

Ps3 doesn't charge to get online. Xbox does.
Ps3 doesn't have rings of death Xbox does
Ps3 plays blue ray DVD's Xbox does not

the only problem I've heard of from a ps3 is that after a long time, the fans bearings wear out and make a shit ton of noise. My buddy had his for over 2-3 years and his started about 3 months ago.

my cousin has gone through 2 harddrives in his PS3 .. killed the first one.. swapped it out w/ a bigger one.. toasted that one too.. so it sits as a paper weight now

Ps3 doesn't charge to get online. Xbox does. <-- Is 14 cents a day really too expensive for you? If so, then give me your xbox and I'll run two of them.
Ps3 doesn't have rings of death Xbox does <-- RRoD is covered under warranty, free of charge. You lose your gaming ability for 2 weeks. Boohoo.
Ps3 plays blue ray DVD's Xbox does not <-- Who cares? If I wanted to watch Blu Rays I'd buy a blu ray player. Obviously it only bothers people who care enough to watch Blu Rays over simply getting a DVD of which most people have two or three of anyway. (I Personally have 4 different DVD players, my surround sound, my old dvd player, my computer, and my xbox.)

There, I just negated everything.

14 cents a day compared to... free? Then yes, 14 cents a day is too much. Unless you're just in love with XBL's format, then I don't see any need to pay for online gaming when PSN works just fine...

Not being able to play for 2 weeks at a time, sometimes multiple times a year compared to NOT having to not play for 2 weeks at a time, multiple times a year? I'll take the PS3, thanks. Don't make excuses for how ridiculously shitty the 360's quality has been. The only reason that the RROD is warrantied so heavily is because no one would still be playing on 360 if it wasn't...

An increasingly large amount of people do prefer BluRays these days. Have you ever watched one on a nice big HDTV with surround sound? It's quite spectacular. And yes, a 360 owner could simply buy a stand-alone BluRay player, but then you've spent $500 - $800 when all is said and done when you could simply have a machine that does it all for $300 - $350. If you're not into BluRays that's cool, but don't knock 'em like they're retarded.

Also, all PS3 game discs are BluRays, and they can hold a shit-ton more info then any 360 disc can. This is why Metal Gear Solid 4 has not been released on the 360. It would have to be broken up onto multiple discs.

Anyway, I didn't mean to turn this into a 360 vs. PS3 bash. I just wanted to point out that those rebukes weren't exactly the best that anyone's ever come up with... :D

upconverted standard definition is fine w/ me... i usually fall asleep during a movie anyways
