I need to get one for my Integra but i don't know which to go with.

The one that replaces the upper control arm and ball joint seems to be the wiser choice, however, I hear even expensive brands such as Skunk2 put weak ball joint boots which are prone to tearing thus causing premature wear to the ball joint.

The second style seems decent but from the looks of them, they don't seem to offer much camber correction. But this style seems to cost less as well.

So which do you all suggest? Once again, don't look at the brands I posted. I just used the pictures. I want to know the pros and cons to each one.

the first one, not the second one.

I'll be 100% honest with you, I don't really remember exactly why, but I know for absolute certain that I bought a set for one of my cars a while back and it didn't clear correctly...

edit: ooh, nevermind, I remember...the second type moves the WHOLE upper control arm outwards to correct negative camber, and can hit the subframe/unibody or parts of your fender...this was the problem with mine. The first kind (skunk2 style) keeps the UCA in one place and moves only the balljoint in and out.

DEFINITELY go with the first one.

Any problems with the ball joints they use with the first one being low quality?

You know, now that I think about it, im just gonna save up my money for some real coilovers but I want some like Megan Racing that have the camber plates intact.

Which companies have the camber plates as part of their full coilover set ups?

Hmm, it makes sense but it's only half true.

Camber and toe wear tires, we can all agree on that. Toe is adjusted last because camber and caster effect toe. So you set those two first. If you put the toe back to spec, you're still going to get uneven tire wear from camber.

So, I assume, what he's trying to say is that toe and camber together will destroy your tires but camber by itself is tolerable.

After some more research though, a full coilover set up is over kill for what I want/need. I've decided that i'm just going to go with the Megan Racing coilovers (regular/sleeved) and some Tokico or KYB shocks.

I'm going to raise the car some because it's way too low for my liking and it'll bring my camber to a more tolerable setting. I'll just make sure to keep an eye on the toe, like that article above suggest, and I should be happy. We'll see though :)

i'd ditching the H&R sports i have now and getting some ITR springs.. the woman hates driving it the way it is

Lets see some pics of how low they make your car. Maybe I can buy those from you if I like the ride height and you sell them to me for cheaper than what the Megan racing coilovers are going for lol

well, they're for a 96-00 Civic, so they dumped it out in the front (got that raked look).. thats why they gotta go.. much lower than i was expecting and the woman is getting sick of it, so i gotta do something.. found some ITR springs for $100 shipped, so i went w/ those.. gonna put on my agx's

So is that pic with the ITR springs or H & R's... What's the drop front and rear? I wanted the adjustability coilovers offer but that drop you got right there looks about what I am looking for... Can you get me more side shots and what not?

those are the H&Rs .. and for a Civic they give a 1.75"f /1.5"r drop.. but with the weight of the integra they dropped more.. not quite sure how much though .. i'll get some pics up

here ya go.. you can see the raked look in the first pic.. 2nd pic is the rear gap, 3rd is the front gap, 4th pic is the underside clearance (of course thats the under plastic part of the bumper hanging low though)

Hmm, I actually like that look. the rears should drop a bit due to the extra 4 door weight plus it'll drop when i throw my subs in :) plus I will be going to 16's as well. You wanna sell me these springs for dirt cheap? lol

PM me...

whats dirt cheap to you? lol... pm me w/ an offer...

honestly, i dont think its much higher than the drop you have now.. i was looking at the pics and they look pretty similar up front

I'll take a few pictures when I get off work. My car cambers nasty up front... I can't turn the wheel too much because the fenders will get eaten alive lol

For quality, and ease of use (easy to adjust exactly how much you want) I'd go with the first style.( ie: Skunk2)

However, if you do any hardcare road racing, run both. You can adjust the style in the second pic opposite of each other (ie: front all the way out/ back all the way in) to make caster changes. Then use the Skunk2 style for your overall camber adjustment

That's not a bad idea... When/if I ever to decide to get heavy into road racing, i'll give that a try. I'm strictly about drag racing at this moment in time :D
