Planning on doing this swap sometime in the summer. Are there any parts from the non VTEC that can work in the VTEC?
Also if anyone did this conversion in the past should there be anything I should look out for to avoid doing this and that, so that it'll be as painless an operation as it could be?

Thanks.

im not positive on what can be changed from motor to motor but i know if you plan on using the non vtec wiring harness youre gonna need to get a p08 ecu (p28 works too) for vtec and you're gonna have to wire the vtec in yourself. unless you find a harness from a vtec motor then the swap is very basic

Whats the car? Are you meaning a head swap or engine? Is the stock motor multi-port? I’m installing a D15B vtec in a 96 civic right now for a customer and I have ran into a few problems because the engine is obd1 and the car is obd2. But if they are the same it should be a straightforward swap.

you can used almost everything on the motor it is all the same excepts for the sparkplug wires and timing belt witch you will need a vx timing belt or a si timing belt all the mounts are the same
and you will need a vtec wiring harness unless you want to hook vtec to a switch
