Okay so I have a problem and I know this may be a stupid question, but in the service manual it says the brake pedal needs to be 165mm away from the floor. With 1-5mm of freeplay at the top. Well in the manual it says floor mat removed does this also mean the carpet? I am also trying to figure out which one of my calipers may be sticking and the slide might just not be lubed. btw this is needed for a manual prelude XD any help is greatly appreciated.

just put new calipiers on. i had to do this to my prelude as well.......

so why is it such a precise measurement on a variable surface? Can't one get slightly different measurements depending on how hard they press into the carpet?

because there is give in the line.

if you're going to reset it, it'll be plus or minus a few millimeters any way.
