People often do bypass them. If you choose to do so, make sure you give your car adequate time to cool down after spirited driving to avoid coking the oil inside the CHRA.

get plugs for them from a hardware/pipe/hose store

yes you must run oil lines
or the turbo wont last long.... at all

so pretty much connecting the two water hole together?
if i wanted to run the water lines how would that be? where do run in to?

You have to tap into some coolant lines, probably off the front water pipe.

You need oil as it provides the film separating the turbine shaft from contacting the walls of the CHRA.

no, just plugs for those holes in the turbo's core.

i think he was talking about blocking the two water ports on the turbo off completely..

ok tnx.
k now, how do i check which holes for the oil/water holes.
btw what is CHRA?
i apologize for the noob question.
new to this stuff

how can i tell which one are for the oil or water holes?
for d16 where should i tap the feed/return water line if ever i wanted to run the lines?
btw what is CHRA?
tnx!

You dont even need to plug the holes for the coolant. My turbonetics turbo has a water cooled section and I dont have anything hooked up to it. Nothing is going to leak out of it, lol! Like other people said just let your car cool down a couple of minutes before shutting it off.

DO NOT BYPASS THE COOLANT LINES ON A WATER COOLED TURBO!

Water cooled turbo's need to have the water cooling them. You are going to boil your oil if you do not.
