CRX-DA brake bleeding/prop valve problem

So been doing some reading around about my brake problem with my crx when I switched the fronts to the 91 DA rotor, spindle, hub, caliper bracket, calipers, MC, BB, and now we can't get the brakes to bleed.

We found something knida odd though. Not sure if it's suppose to be this way or not. We hooked up the line near the MC to our air hose to blow air through after we've tried bleeding them like 15 times, and numerous different methods. When we blew air through one, it would send air out of the front left, and the back right, when we switched to the other line near the MC it sent air through the front right, and the back left....is this normal? or did someone do something to the brakes previously and mess that up? Shouldn't it be one line will blow air through both fronts and the other to both rears?

Another thing I was wondering is with my regualr EF rear drums, and the DA big brakes up front, so I need the 4040 Prop valve...or should the one that came on my CRX work? Thanks for any help.

Well I woul get the 40/40 prop valve might be an issue and if you haven't changed your master break cyl do that to an teg one as well

Yes, that's normal. Honda uses a cross braking system for safety reasons.

CRX prop will work fine, though can't comment on what works best.

Yeah, we've changed everything from crx to the DA...including master cylinder and the brake booster.

Good to know that, that is how it works....was kinda wierd at first, but when we thought about how the prop valve works, and it started making a lot more sense about the cross brake style. We're going to check all of our bleeders screws to see what's going on. We've replaced almost everything lol.

Quick question though. CRX lines that come from the calipers and then in to the steel lines, it won't cause any problems having those lines, and not using the DA ones right?

Correct me if I'm wrong though....the prop valves works as follows;

Detecs a leak, or a drop in pressure or something of that matter, and stops any flow to that/those lines, effectively keeping pressure on either front right back left, or front left back right, correct?

Thanks for the reply's guys, much appreciated.

Check everything you get from autozone...they aren't so bright all the time.

The dude gave me 2 front left calipers at first. Went back and got the right.

+ the bleeder valve was comepletely different on the right side one than the left, causing our problem.

We only found this out after we went to a friend at goodyear got it on the rack and bled them from the machine and the brakes didn't feel right. said fuck it, and just ran it like that for like 2 days driving carefully. Then one day on the way home a kind of boom, then no brakes. our brake line was rubbing on part of the rim causing it to wear and break. When I was taking it all apart I took out the bleeder valve and compared to what I had. Completely different causing air to leak in the whole fuckin time.

Just thought I would post what was wrong so that if anyone else gets this problem...it might help.

Glad it worked out, when I swapped out for rear DA discs my MC decided to give out at the same time. I spent alot of time chasin' squishy pedal demons...
