Hey guys I just got a 89 crx and I am planning on doin a mid engin rwd drive setup I am in the process of building the engine for it (b20/vtec turbo). I have a lot of experience in fabriction such as roll cages, truck lifts, tube buggys, ect. Has any ever done this or know anyone that has done another thing is I was woundering if you guys could give me any ideas on how to keep the standard shift patern using some kind of cantilever setup any ideas would be great. And I am putting a gsr trans in it.

There's some guys that did it with a Del Sol and an Integra(both were on Honda-Tech, I know the Integra was street legal too). What they did though was weld the frame/bay of the donor car into the back of the donee.

I'm not sure how they did the shift linkage, but doesn't seem like you'll need a cantilever since it technically still faces the right direction. A linkage that simply goes under the transmission would work.

Put a steering wheel facing the back window and turn the seats around. This will give you the added benefit of rear steering as well as RWD. Plus you may actually be doing something to a Honda that no one has done before.

lmao

Make a B I G heatshield and drop in a 3.5 from a TL..

You could make the rear hatch like the old A&T engineering crx that deleted the rear glass and it came down to the level of the side glass and then back.
Come to think of it. I think Eubrini (?) sold it years/decades ago..
