Haha I get it B.

Edit:

Damn you must have clicked nano seconds before I did.

13 years already. Yet another sign I'm getting old.

2Pac>Biggie

if you compare 2pacs first 3 albums with big's first 3, big destroys him (i'm considering life after death 2 cd's). the only reason pac is even compared is due to longevity/total records.

+1

Ready To Die still plays start to finish today.

i never got into pac... a couple songs are ok, but they just don't groove like biggie's do.

east coast > * :D

wrong wrong and wrong.

Firstly. "Gangsta Rap" is a product of southern California. Period. Other people do it to, yeah I know, but they didn't invent it.

Dr. Dre collaborated on Tupac's work during the height of his success. Puff Daddy worked with Biggie. Is Puffy more gangsta then Dre?

This entire debate boils down to one simple thing, East Coast people just don't get it, and never will

i could give a shit less who was more gangsta than the other....

IMO, biggies' songs are on the whole more enjoyable to listen to than 2pacs' are.

I can easily go through an entire cd on biggie without skipping a track. i can't say the same for pac.
sure, he may be more street and have deeper/better lyrics, but biggie was bar far the better artist in terms of total production in my ears.

If you don't know what "daddy" is "puffing" from this picture then god help you

:gayflag:

what the fuck does puff daddy have to do with biggie being a better rapper?

imho, it means biggie was better. if you are calling puff a flaming fag then that adds legitimacy to biggies talent.

imagine if big was rapping over dre's beats..../thread

^ that's basically battle fo the producers.

I agree that dre is FAR superior to puffy....
(ma$e vs eminem! lol)

but, that doesn't change the fact that biggie had better beats, more catchy songs, and shares a slot in my mp3 collection, where as 2pac does not.

The first part is a matter of opinion, I can listen to entire Pac albums without skipping a tack. I have the "Ready to Die" double album, yet only two tracks made it to my Ipod

Your second line is key. You are willing to trade the authentic lyrics and original rap production quality of Tupac for the plastic pop sound laid down by p-diddy and the second rate lyrics of biggie. If that doesn't outline the failure of pop culture then I don't know what does...

why are you guys bringing moder "rapers" in to this? modern rap is gay. bunch of closet gangsters and fack pushers.

yes, i'll trade lyrics for a song that 'sounds good'.

i don't give a shit about blunts, 40s, bitches, gang banging, getting shot, or whatever.... i like music that has a good beat and is 'fun' to listen to, or otherwise sets some sort of mood.

the only mood i get in listening to pac is that he should've fucked his mom because thats all he whines about.

IMO, they were both decent artist--their music happens to be geared towards different groups of people. Outside of opinion, there isn't really one that is "better" than the other.

Nas gets my vote for lyrical genius.

for lyricist, give jay-z a second, third, and even fourth listen. slow it down a little bit. maybe even read the lyrics online. his last 2 or 3 albums are lyrically epic.

Grown man I put hands on you
I dig a hole in the desert, they build The Sands on you
Lay out blueprint plans on you
We Rat Pack niggaz, let Sam tap dance on you
Then, I Sinatra shot ya God damn you
... I put the boy in the box like David Blaine
Let the audience watch, it ain't a thang
Y'all wish I was frontin, I George Bush the button
Front of all you in your car lift up your hood nigga run it
Then lift up your whole hood like you got oil under it
Your boy got the goods y'all don't want nuttin of it
Like, castor oil, I Castor Troy you
Change your face or the bullets change all that for you
... y'all niggaz is targets
Y'all garages for bullets, please don't make me park it
in your upper level, valet a couple strays
from the 38 special, nigga, God bless you

lol, are you serious!?!?
