i have a 98 civic cx (EK hatch) with a D16Y7, what exactly do i need to put a b18c1 in it. (motor mounts, ecu, axles, ect....)

You need a crate motor swap.
Motor(Long Block)
Valve Cover to Oil Pan including distributor, Intake manifold, Exhaust Manifold
Hasport B Series into EK Motor Mounts

Trans
ACT Clutch
Linkage
Axles
Engine Harness
ECU
Your car is non-VTEC which means for a VTEC motor swap you need to run the one or 2 wires with your engine harness into the car's ECU.
might as well get a bigger radiator while your at it too.
Start There see what happens

I'm doing the same swap - have you bought the engine yet? Let me know what you find out - I still need to buy the engine, but I would like to get all of the parts at once - what websites were you lookin at to buy from?

doing a similar swap in about a month, got a 98 civic ex going for b18c1, would this swap fit right in? buying a complete motor swap from hmotorsonline.. ive been told everything would fit, yet i see people saying axels need to be changed, any ideas???

to this swap u will need a couple of things
if its a gsr motor u have to get:
gsr axles
gsr ecu
gsr shift linkage
back t bracket from a 99-00 civic si
driverside post mount from a 99-00 civic si
the gsr wire harness will NOT fit a civic
you could use your sohc vtec harness on it
you would just have to extend some wires

ya. You will need to run the wires for the oil pressure switch 1 to the ecu and the other 1 to the neg on the batt or a ground elts were, and the other 1 comes from the vtec sylonoied on the motor. All this can be found on hondaswap in the search section. Just type in vtec wire up lol

ijust swapped a d16z6 for my 1.5 non vtec ina 1995 civic same year engine now the transmission performs badly , the fluid level is fine but it acts like its low on fluid, does not shift til 3500-4000 rpm. My question is do i need a transmission to match this engine please help, thanks

I got a b18c1 out of a gs-r and i am looking to get rid of it for a good trade or cash. I have the wire harness and the ecu, shift linkage and axles. It currently sits in a 96 civic ex.

i got one question, what modification will i need to do to my "y8" wire harness to my B18c1 swap?
your insight would be awesome...

i'mma newbie
