gunna need some kind of size reference... put a coin/dollar bill near it... or a ruler...

and take some better shots more directly on top of it if you can... i have it narrowed down to a few

Hit it with a fucking hammer who cares what it is, it would be dead if I saw it creepin in my house.

I usually try and grab bugs with a Kleenex if I can, and then either throw them outside or flush them down the toliet. It's not so much that I'm compassionate, I just don't like getting splats on the wall... :D

i would say what you have there is a Golden Huntsman Spider (Olios fasciculatus)

its harmless

they live in the southwest and wander around at night eating bugs... send it outside and let it continue on its way

Venom toxicity - the bite of Huntsman Spiders is of low risk (non toxic) to humans. They are a non-aggressive group of spiders. However, a large individual can give a painful bite. Beware in summer when the female Huntsman Spider is guarding her egg sacs or young.

Spider Identification - an adult varies greatly around 1/2" in body length - has long legs - the diameter of an adult including legs may reach 2" - the first 2 pairs of legs are longer than rear two - it is hairy - buff to beige brown in color, with dark patches on the body.

Habitat
- a hunter that prefers to live under the flaking bark of trees, under flat rocks and under eaves or within roof spaces of buildings. The Huntsman Spider often wanders into homes and is found perched on a wall. It is a shy, timid spider that can move sideways at lighting-fast speed when disturbed.

The Golden Huntsman Spider is Olios fasciculatus, one of the Giant Crab Spiders of the Family Sparassidae. They are, as you know, large spiders named for their crablike legs. They are mostly tropical but found in Florida and the Southwest as well. The Golden Huntsman Spider does not build a web, but wanders in slow search of prey. The female carries her egg sac in her jaws until the spiderlings emerge. It is found in shady woodlands and thickets from New Mexico and Utah west to California.

i've needed to set off a fogger in there.. so i did it now.. if he decides to stick around, sucks for him.. maybe his buddies will think twice about coming in my garage..

i normally try not kill spiders but just keep them outside. For the simple fact there webs help keep down the mosquitoes and yellow flies

Aw, have some fun and get yourself a blowgun and use 'em for target practice.
You'd be suprised how powerful those things are. I needed a pliers to pull the darts from sheet-rock.

Gonna need a pretty good size hammer then.

I lawled for quite a while after that.

And fuck that thing. I wouldnt want my hand within a hammers length of it. No way. Id be lookin for a bat, broom stick or most likely somethin to throw.

x2. an insect trespassing in my house is punishable by death. usually by means of lighter and hairspray.
