Ok so I thought id try and pass my car on the emission's test in colorado, so it passes everything but the nox,(it failed by .467 i ran that gaurteed to pass higher reading on nox by 1.458, I paid 500.00 last year in parts and 300 this year in installation of new cat new center muffler and end muffler. they cant get the egr it's discontinued, and the carberator on it sounds like its misfiring now, what do you guys suggest once again 1983' civic hatchback (bullet) ?

NoX is caused by high combustion chamber temperatures, usually a misfire like you described will accompany it. The easiest fix on a carb car is to retard the timing a bit. Try to lean it out a bit as well, but if you go too far youll make NoX even higher. That bad EGR that you can longer get is certainly not helping things either, try taking it apart and cleaning it to get it working somewhat propery. Getting that working will more or less guaratee you to pass, more than that bottle of magic juice.

have you tried the dealer for an egr valve? maybe they have one on a shelf in a texas honda dealership that they can mail you. they dont make those for most cars that are old cause they want to get them off the raod. damn environmentalist act! as for the carb, have you tried rebuilding it?

Sorry for not getting back to you guys yeah its a big mess turned out the guy who sold it to me was like majorly lying. according to the vin never been registered and isnt even the right vin to my car i thought it was a 1981 but that vins to a 1983 and isnt to my car the carburetor need a rebuild per the state facility i got it to get passed but its running mega lean im thinking now that its passed due to how much i put in it. i might just use it for the two years then get a new honda
