What would it take to get a Gen II B16A to 200 hp?

I could get a ITR swap in my engine bay for $4000, $2000 more than a B16A swap, but would it be worth it? The ITR has a LSD trans and 200 hp out of the box but I would have to convert to OBD1.

On the other hand with that extra $2000 could I make a near equal powerd B16?

crank? easy
wheels? forced induction or a miracle.

why not meet in the middle with an obd1 sir-g (gsr) ? :)

why not buy a gsr with a spun rod bearing and make it into a boosted lsv. thats what i would do with 4k

I hate the IM on the GSR but that's an easy fix. I'd go supercharged before turbo.

lol, victor x. done.
or the im for your JRSC.

best choice IMO is a GSR. its a very solid engine for what youre looking for. you can always add an LSD if you feel the need to, or get a GSR swap w/lsd from Hmotors.

Omniman built a 200whp NA B16 with mostly OEM parts and a ported head

It was built out of a 99/00 Civic Si...literally built the motor still in the car lol

Its on a 2-disc DVD set

if you have the money buy something already with some displacement. you'll get better torques result.

I would go with a GSR and LSD tranny. use the rrst of the money for whater route you choose. power adder or N/a.

going obd1 isnt as bad as you think.

glassheadlights,
basically, if you dont gsr swap your crx (w/lsd of course) im going to drive all the way up there to canananananadahh, powder my hand, and backhand you. :)
