i got a huge problem n need to no if any1 can help me as i was removing tha head bolts to clean up my head and put new head gasket i found out one of tha head bolts are stripped and i dont wanna make it werse but its pretty rounded any1 no how to get this out wuh should i doo

have you tried an easy out bit? what is stripped? the head bolt hex head? or the threads in the block? if the threads in the block are stripped youll have to get creative. i have solutions for creativity as well but idk if you have the tools. youll need a way to pull up on the head bolt if the block threads are stripped. i would drill a 5-16 inch hole in the head bolts hex head about 3-8 inch into the bolt. then i'd tap treads into the hole as far as i could get them. next i'd get an old 1-2 inch deep well socket for the head bolt. then put an eye bolt in through the hole in the socket and into the hole that matches the thread pitch i tapped in the head bolt. now i'd use an engine hoist to lift on the bolt gently as i turn the head bolt with the socket using vise grips.

Since nothing else of value can possibly be added:

"wuh" should you "doo"? Punch your english teacher in the teeth.

nah the head bolt is stripped bad tried the little socket thing and the socket broke lol so now i went to sears got the extractor tool and a no go it jus stripped it more :-(

yeah. thay also make reverse drill bits- they drill in the counter-clockwise rotation and help get out bolts with stripped threads. but i bought mine from the snap-on tool truck. dont know if you can get em in a regular store. what about a half-inch impact driver and use that stripped bolt extractor socket from sears? maybe smacking that impact driver with a 2-pound sledge hammer might do it

You can get an easy out at Sears or maybe even Orchard Supply and probably many other places. Its cone shaped and fit various sized holes. Just drill a small hole about 1/8-1/4" deep then insert the tip of the easy out into the new hole. Work it out with a wrench and get it to bite. Mine is square shaped on the end but can still be used in a drill (although i have done it by hand). Work it slowly and you'll see if it bites/strarts turning out/loose. If it wont come out...last resort in my shade tree tool bag is to drill it out bigger until you can get it almost all gone then chase it out with an appropriate tap (grease it if you are affraid of metal shavings coming out) But thats all the advise I can give....sorry

because its a head-bolt youre going to have to drill mote than 1/8 inch into the bolt for the easy out. too bad youre in nor cal or i'd come over and get that bolt out.

I just had 3 round off on my 92 accord. Center punch all and step drill them to about 7/16ths. It took me about 3hrs but got them off..

If you don't have good bits, your gonna be sharpening them over and over.
That in itself took about 6 times. Just get the point at about 15-20deg

probably didnt get it on good enough.. or you used one too big.. they work, i've used them on suspension parts.. and we all know how tough those are to get out sometimes

They usually just break before they strip. At least thats my experience.
