Im whippin a 1990 Integra RS. my stock tranny took a shit on me, so i bought a S1 B16A tranny for $300, and that is currently in the car.
Only other upgrades i have done to her is Intake and a muffler that was on it when i got her.
i want to keep it N/A, and possibly Non-VTEC
Im needin some suggestions before i start buyin any parts

B16 pistons? They'll give you a nice bump in compression. You can use B18C* pistons with milled rods.

Pretty much just do your typical bolt-ons, mild port work(if anything just clean up casting imperfections), and I believe Crower makes cams for the B18A/B. Don't forget to get it tuned!

all right, i know im wantin some high compression pistons.. and i believe the B18A1 is cast-iron sleeved stock, so it should hold up
also, do i have to have VTEC parts to use parts off of another VTEC motor? or is that just for the head work?

stock sleeves should hold up well for NA so long as it's not overbored past recommended specs(I believe service limit is 81.5mm).

I've seen people use VTEC oil pump and water pump in LS/VTEC builds, so if you're going to be spinning higher RPM then I'd say those would be recommended.

The b18a/b dose just fine with stock sleeves up to 83mm with street all motor setup.

You can use GSR water/oil pumps on a LS block but you have to run GSR timing belt.

What about going to 84mm with a LS block? If you think about it the B20 is damn near the same as a B18 but it has 84mm sleeves.

b20 sleeves are a bit thicker than what people think. B20 sleeves are not LS sleeves bored out to 84mm.
