I sold my old worn out 2000 Xterra 3 days after placing the add on craigslist. Found this 2006 4wd Xterra S for sale by private owner. It is absolutely immaculate, the lady that owned it was in her 50s and was the original owner. It still smells new. It will be receiving a few modifications, but nothing too serious. It has the 4.0L VQ motor, and it really moves.. i think its 265hp and 285ft/lbs stock. Should sound sick with intake and exhaust later down the road

I dove one of them for just under a year, awesome xterra and gain good power from k&n offroad intake(ass dyno). loved it to death! nice find man!

everybody on the xterra forums say the Volant cai is the best for the 2nd gen X. I had a K&N on my old x and it was nice. There is a group buy giong on at an awesome price for the volant right now. i think im gunna snag one.

Nice pickup. Gotta love the VQ engine platform. My maxima has the original vq30. The thing is so damn smooth.

You meet a lot of ladies driving an Xterra because you pull up to a stoplight and look over and there's an Xterra next to you, they're always driven by chicks. So there's your ice breaker.

i have heard other people say that, but i dont really see it. i think its maybe 50/50 male/female. there are several xterra enthusiast website/forums and the members are nearly all guys. there are some sick xterras out there, serious offroad machines, some fast ones with blowers on them too.

i just like them because they are maneuverable for city driving, tow well for their size, offroad well if you need to, and you get a lot of utility for the money.

i just ordered a Volant cai with powercore filter for only $204 shipped. thenewx.org group-buy kicks ass!

I agree with everything you just said. I personaly think the Xterra is one of the best vehicles for young men.

Awesome price for a cai. I payed 375 to 400 for the K&N.

well i finally got the Volant intake and installed it today. not the easiest intake install ive ever done, but not too bad. it fits really well and man does the truck sound mean now. its reminiscent of my old VQ35 maxima with an intake, great smooth throaty sound. its supposed to make more hp of course. seat of the pants feel is that throttle tip in is sharper, which is nice.

Sorry, I forgot to tell you that it was a quote from Andy on the office.
