Up a Creek...
I found this when I was checking out my valve train:

As you can see, both cams are worn, more severe is the intake cam. Both cams have a small amount of movement when seated in the journals. I think this maybe my power loss issue. My car has no power at all. It has a hard time backing up the slope on my driveway and just driving up the street, thats with the ignition timing fully advanced, it doesn't have any power unless I advance the timing. Before you ask, here are the steps I've taken to fix the problem:

New dizzy cap & rotor, spark plugs & wires. throttle body cleaning. The idle also surge( my iacv is good, no FITV, TPS is good, No vacuum leaks).

Do you think these cams are my problem?

have you tried putting a B16 distributor on it? why do you have the B18 dizzy? and the cam play should be there but only a couple thousandths pf an inch. not sure off the top of my head though how much. if you need used cams i have some though. 150 for them.

wow, who put them cams on and how many miles do they have?

Also if aftermarket what brand? what valve springs?

tell us some more

I'm not sure why this distributor is on here, I didn't get to build the car, I'm just the one who has to make the car run right! The only identification number on this dizzy is D3179, which is stamped on the back where the head meets. After searchs & more searchs, all I can find out is that it is from a 95 GSR. But, I do like the idea of trying a B16 Dizzy. I know they are different because it took forever to find the correct Cap.

So maybe it has ITR Springs. I don't see any obvious marking on the cams to identify. I've been trying to find a good pic of B16A2 cams so I can compare.

take pictures of the ends of the camshaft (at the dizzy and cam plug) so someone can tell you what they are

try a differend dizzy that you know is good then since this guy says the one you have should work fine. maybe your dizzy is bad

I've got a reman dizzy on the way from advance auto. I'll pick it up tomorrow. I ordered the dizzy for a 99 civic si. The plugs will be for a OBD2 harness, so I'll be rewiring those first. Upon inspection of my GSR dizzy, I found that the shaft does spin more easily than a new one does. No signs of red death or obvious damage, just easily spins.

I have everything back together right now, just waiting on another dizzy. If it doesn't fix the problem, I'll take it apart for some more pics.

I see chewed up cams, They look like most of the nitrate coating has been scared! USE MOLY ASSEMBLY LUBE WHEN INSTALLING CAMS.

I seriously think the cams were ran dry or over torqued.

Take pics of the Head and springs.

sounds like some of the cams around here being used for door props might be better then huh? :D

Magana....you really think the pics express the cams being chewed up? I see some wear on them for sure but nothing looks terribly deep. If this is the case...then my CTR camshafts are tired and chewed up too....they have small surface scratches on the cam cap part of the camshafts too.

Or are you saying the shining parts is the coating gone? Mine aren't shiny like that at all.

Well, I got the new dizzy on and now it won't start and I'm getting a CEL 15. Which is "No ignition output signal - possible faulty igniter." All the plugs matched up fine with the OBD1 Dizzy I got. It is a reman from advanced... I just keep telling myself there's no way they'd sell me a bad dizzy. I've double checked the spark plug wires and taken the cap back off to check it, everything checks out. I'm stumped....again....
