K20 ecu reflash

Well hopefully next week i'll be reflashing my ecu on my RSX. I have read many reviews and with the bolt ons i have now i think it's one of the best investments prior to Kpro.

$290 bucks to relflas is super low. For those k20 owner's I'll keep you update on my results

RBS intake mani w/hondata gasket

Let me know how it turned out. IIRC a bolt on, reflashed dc5 was able to handily walk my old b18c equipped eg (pre-boost). That was a quick car. Stock ones can barely keep up with my stock maxima

I want to get some dyno numbers since no one on Club RSX has been able to provide them but i'm barely able to get what I want with the amount of money I have.

RBC intake manifold went doen in price too so I want to get it this week. Money got tight for a little while so I havent got it yet. I just hope I dont run too lean since many other people have been worried about it.

I'm hoping for a good solid 20+ whp gains that I can feel on the top end.

make sure you have a cai, and race header and that should do the trick.

when people say race header do they mean the header that eliminate the cat all together?

I have a short 4/2/1 (not by choice) DC sports header, Injen CAI and this afternoon will be putting a stock muffler from a 2009 civic Si. piping is 2.5 so it should be fine. add the RBC intake manifold with hondata gasket too.

the loud Buddy Club II muffler got taken off and replaced with oem tiny ass muffler. totaly restrictive and I could feel it past 3k rpms. Kind of pisses since i spent 200 bucks for the part and labor. Now I have to spend another 80+ to put this other muffler on.

anyway. once the parts come in hopefully next week I'll let you guys know how it feels and where the improvement is.

I love the fact that the vtec point has been lowered. I hate revving up high just to feel the powahh for a second or 2.

yeah race header is 1 piece it removes the cat. and i was gona get the reflash but the cheapest ive found has been 500

thats why I havent got it yet. I would consider it but since i already have something better than stock i'll stick with the reflash and IM

right now they are putting my civic muffler on. :yay:

my bro in law took the car to a muffler shop a few years ago and the shop welded the cat and buddy club flange tegether. soooooo I would have to replace it with a full race header. screw chopping up the pipinf up even more.

I'm having it done. got to send them my ecu,key and immobilzer.

You actually noticed a power differnce when you changed mufflers. Maybe I should upgrade too...

yeah I did. keepin mind it's not only the muffler. I still have the 2.5 piping from the cat so if you look at the third picture up top. Notice i have the resonator, 2.5 piping , reducer and then another reducer to mate with muffler. I cut down the diameter almost in half!

right around 3k I noticed the rpms slow done as the pedal went further down. I just put on the civic Si one and it sounds great!

rpms move faster and the car has a great tone to it too.

My exhaust is like 2" until mid-car then it goes really small. I might as well get a cat back because everything else is opened up. Sorry to threadjack!

It would be cheaper to just go to a muffler shop and get the entire 2.5 piping installed. that way you dont pay for the BLING factor and name.

you already have the muffler and resonator right? aat least the muffler. i dont think there will be a noticeable difference you can feel but I'ts better than what you have now.


ahh I cant wait to get my stuff nxt week.
