Hiya to everybody!

What I've got is an auto civic eg5 (D16Z6 engine). Now I want to take off the auto gearbox completely from my engine and put the manual on. Has anyone done this before? Do I need any modification to the ECU?! One more question: I can only put a D16Z6 one or a B16 tranny will fit as well?

Anyone who knows about it share with me please!

Thanks very much indeed!

Get yourself a manual (5speed) ECU.
Bseries transmission will not match.

To be honest just go buy a 5speed car it's a pain to change it over.

Cheers

the above is wrong... i could do the install in about a day.... but here is the basic crap... I would get Manual axles, a Dseries 5 speed EX trans costs about $125 bucks in a salvage yard or online... You will need the linkage as well... next you need a p28 ecu from a 5 speed if not your car will have a cel code and not run all the way right.... You will need to remove the auto shifter, wires and trans along with the auto flywheel and torque converter. You will need to quire a manual trans mount hopefully its on the trans .... from there install the flywheel to the specs and the clutch use an alighment tool inless u are a pro... next put the trans on, i used a floor jack to help get it in place worked well with a 4x4 then bolt it back to the motor and then attach the mount... alot of people say u need to replace the rear t mount as well, i left mine but changed it out, it is slighty diffrent while your there and have the trans off mite as well do it.... next you need to drill 2 holes for the linkage to bolt to your console.... after that your going to need to remove the key lock on your collum other wise you can't start your car, you will also need to look up the loop your going to need to make to trick you car into thinking it is in park... also you will need to run the wire from your manual trans to your reverse lights.... its simple rewire should have it... simple stuff just time conusiming... hope this helps

Bseries transmission will not match.

A B-series is possible with an adaptor plate. Honestly though, for the cost of a B-series transmission and an adaptor plate, you could just swap a B16, so it would be rather pointless to do...
