Byrons boost project.

Been slowly gathering part to boost the old EF for a about a year now and almost have everything needed. So since it was nice out today I decided a little mock-up session was in order.

Just to give you an idea what Im workin with.

Intercooler fits damn well, very minimal cutting to the bumper cover, but as you can see it sits way too low. A little notching of the bumper support is in order so no big deal in that department.

Plenty of clearance here, but

This is where I ran into a head-scratcher, I figured since Ive already hacked the shit out of my crossmember to fit the EG rad I think a traction bar is in order and if that still doesnt give me the needed clearance I my have to do a pie cut 90* welded to the outlet.

I cant, Im stuffing 10lbs of shit into a 5 lb bucket here. The outlet is already parallel with the radiator, after looking at it some more a plain old 90* coupler should work.

Got the intercooler mounted in the final postion today, had to end up cutting the grill out after the bumper support was notched to move the IC up. The IC will be getting the flat black treatment to keep it as stealth as possible. Just need to get to Summit so I can snag some couplers then I can plumb it all in.

Prepped for notch.

Fits pretty good after cutting it out, just need to get some metal to cap off the cut out to give back a little bit of the strength that was taken away.

Just need some black paint.

Keeping it all stock for now, Ill be happy if I make 200, I dont want to lose drivability/reliability, just wanna put a little bounce in her step. If it makes it through the summer then the motor is coming out and an getting freshened up and the boost will be turned up.
