well i know just about nothing when it comes to wiring in a car. haha
heses the thing, i have a 90 ef sedan that i want to drop a b15b7 in to get the car running already. buuuut i need to do the mpfi conversion. my friend says that will be ok to do(thanks to the info on here) and then since the motor is obd1 how wud i convert the harness? do i need a completely diff harness or is that when the obd0 to obd1 jumper harness comes into play? im super confused lol.

thanks guys

Well it's a d15 not b15 : P and yes go to rywire.com and buy the harness conversion from obd0to obd1

Hahaha oops I wasn't paying attention

Ok so I'm going to do the dpfi to mpfi conversion this weekend hopefully
And I already have the obd0 to obd1 jumper, just going to need the one for the dizzy.
But its really that simple? Lol just the jumper and I'm set? Cuz some guy is selling me a new engine harness(converted to mpfi) and the jumper included for 300, shud I just do that? Or do it myself?

Well this is what I did I have 88 hatch cx so I bought the motor mounts 88-91 hatch si engine harness and shift linkage and ecu axles etc.. I followed this write up for the conversion https://hondaswap.com/swap-articles/dpfi-mpfi-writeup-49557/
you don't Ned mounts or anything since your doing d series to d series so just get the 88-91 si engine harness and the conversion from obd0 to obd1 and the ecu for the motor and you should be good to go

Ohh ok sounds good then ima try and find one then lol
Or say if I was to buy a wire harness that's already converted. Guy selles em for 130 and then just throw my obd1 jumper on there and get a obd0 to obd1 coverter plug for the dizzy?

And wut kind of mount wud u need for the tranny since I'm going hydro the rear one doesn't match up. I'm using one off an eg already, wud I need to use the stock cable trans one in the rear to make iit all come together?

Yes if you buy the harness off rywire.com already made up yea it will work they will send you further instructions to finish the wireing if your doing hydro tranny you need a cable to hydro conversion kit. And you need to buy a motor mount for that hydro tranny I would just buy a 88-91 si cable tranny and call it good

Thanks a lot with the info . Hope to get the car running by the end of this coming week

Oh and I got my hasport cable to hydro conv kit from Bisimoto yesterday, I was happy to see that it comes with everything I need to make it wrk super excited!!
Haha

Another question.. since ima go obd1.. do I still need a injector resistor box?
And if so what do they look like and where cud I find one?..
Thanks

if you use the old peak/hold injectors then yes you need it. if you use the b7's saturated injectors then you won't need the box. the power wire that would go to a res. box will instead tie in to all 4 power wires of each injector. simple as that

Alright so then how wud I do that? Lol
I went out and took some injector cap/plugs off and eg(b7 as well)
And my harness already has the res. box how wud I go forth and eliminate it?
There are 5 wires going into the res box correct? 4 red/blk and 1 yllw/blk.. go I cut the wires at the pug? And solder all 5 wires together? I'm only a few steps away from getting this car running. If you'd like to see it I have a build thread on nwp4life.. here is the link NWP4LIFE: 1990 Civic Sedan in the making any input will be appreciated.. thanks!!

yes, yes, and yes. lol

KOOOOOOOOOL!!!
Lol thanks a million!!!

Another quick question lol... are the plugs from the stock harness actually going to fit my motor?
Idk wut it came off of but all the plugs are white and my motor is obd1..?
Shud I not worry? Lol

the stock harness will fit virtually everything besides the distributor. also, the coolant fan switch wires need to be extended and ran over to to the new location on the thermostat housing.

Nice! Got it, thanks!
Ohh and do u kno of a site where I can get a diagram on where the wires/plugs go connected.
Of like if u kno the color on each plug and where it belongs.
I dnt kno where any of them go, some are obvious but then other ones look kinda similar..?

And is there a way that I can solder the 4 wire o2 sensor to my harness? Like wut wires need to be connected/soldered to make it work.

And I was told that the dizzy I have(off a d15z1) won't work on my car, due to bolts matching up and timing being an issue since my engine is not vtec. Can I use that dizzy to rebuild the OG one off theb7?

I was looking into something similar for when I hopefully get another CRX. I found this site with some good info. Hope it helps! MPFI Swap

thanks alot dude. ima look into it it. and as for the speedomiter cable, how wud i get that to work on a hydro trans? is there a conversion out there or something?
thanks

What I did for my ls swap was I unbolted the hydro hook up on th rear of the tranny and pulled it out and put my cable operated one from my old d series motor and put that in and worked just fine
