Im trying to get power steering into my hatch, i read in a diff fourm it couldnt be done. I wanna know if this is tru i dnt like how it drives now without power steering thanks ahead of time!

i dont see why you couldnt use power steering on it. if you have the pump, bracket and the lines for your car (provided it came with powersteering), it should be doable. you might have to get a different radiator.

should be enough space if theres nothing else sitting in front of the motor. does it have a/c?

Nope no a/c i havent realy messed with it too much i got it and it came with the swap so the only thing that bugs me is the missing powersteeping also i was wondering . Removing a/c and powersteeping help make the car faster? ?

removing ac and powersteering will help the motor rev up faster as there is less rotational drag on the motor. it wont make it alot faster, but it does help. probably increase gas mileage by a maximum of 1-3 mpg. dont quote me on that. personally i'd leave it out. if the car came with powersteering you probably want to switch out the steering rack for a non powersteering one. or put fresh fluid in the rack and cap off the line connectors on it. that way it wont give out down the road.

the car never had powersteering or ac or atleast not after the engine swap. would stock ls brackets work to instal the powersteering

Only 88-91 Civics that came with PS were the sedans. You'd need to swap crossmember/rack/lines from them.

use stock civic parts for the rack, lines, and crossmember. use the integra brackets and pump

you're probably lookig at a weekends work to get it in and working right. sounds to me like a lot of work for very little gain, go pump some iron if you're having trouble in the parking lots, once you are moving you dont need power steering at all. big fat wheels don't help either plus you get less road feel with p/s

thanks man i am new too hondas and building cars all together so how hard would it be to istall it?
on a scale of 1-5 id say 2.5-3 if you have mechanical skills. little to no experience would be a 4-5. you could have it in probably in about six hours provided you dont run into unexpected problems like breaking stuff. wouldnt try it unless your prepared and have EVERYTHING for the install.
