hi all, my question is very simple: i have a donor 91 integra LS and i'm swapping the engine/tranny into a 91 CRX DX; i have already put the engine and tranny in the CRX but now im a little confused, i've read so much about this swap but no one has ever mentioned about using both engine and dash wire harnesses. is this the way to go if you have a complete donor car? do i still need to do the DPFI to MPFI conversion? thanks for any info.

ive never had to do that. you just need to use the wiring harness, the part that connects to all the sensors and injectors and stuff on your motor and tranny, and it all goes to your ecu, thats the part you need. and the ecu, the motor mounts, axles and shift linkage, dizzy, intake mani with injectors, header and downpipe with o2 sensor/s...i believe thats all. i never had to use the under dash harness

use the original DPI harness and just convert it. then its done.
Im doing the same swap and just got done with the harness, do i want to use a PM6 or the PR4 ecu from the 91 LS? (not trying to thread jack, just keeping it to one)

i dont have the original engine wire harness, so i'll have to deal with the LS engine harness; what you're saying is that i just need to connect it to the ECU (PR4) and leave the dash harness in place?

teg harness won't work, you need the stock dpfi civic harness. then convert it to mpfi. leave your stock dpfi cabin harness alone. i know it's not what you wanted to hear but it's what you have to do.

ok, im trying to keep it as simple as possible so i'll just use the dpfi harnes and convert it to mpfi; thanks for the info. i think i still have the original dpfi harness but if not, would a CRX Si harness be a better choice?

although it'd be nice if you could use the si harness since it's already mpfi, it unfortunately won't work. the cabin harness lacks the wires for mpfi to work.

I no longer have the original DX engine wiring harness cause my buddy got rid of it since we were not going to use it. ; im going back to the original plan of using the LS wire harness for both the cabin and engine.

hope your using a complete ls dashboard then cause otherwise the wiring inside the car is going to be a nightmare : |

i have an LS (DA) dash but i've been told that it's impossible to put in a CRX; it really doesn't fit, i think i might try to get a 94 and up teggy dash because i have a write up of how to do it even though it involves some customizing parts but it's doable. I'm new to swapping engines so i'm not surehow hard this is going to be if i want to still keep my CRX dash. i'd like to kee it as simple as possible but i now realise that it can't be simple. if anyone knows of someone doing this dash harness, i'd like to know. thanks to all for your help, i'll let you know how it goes.

Did this ever work.?
Stuck with hacked stock 91 dx doi
Have full fresh 92 ls dash harness can it work?
