Next to actually going into space free falling like that would be my second most desired experience to have.

I think he is talking about the guy in number two had the record for highest dive and then jumped again from the same height.

When the high dive guy got out of the pool the tape on his legs was completely shredded.

Dude #2 in the first vid was way more crazy. He's like 10 ft off the ground at times

hell no

ill give you the 10 feet off the ground bit... indeed he was

but the guy who was #1, LEFT THE FUCKING ATMOSPHERE!!! in a BALLOON!!

not only did he leave the atmosphere... he was the first person to leave it.... EVER

then when he was 102,800 feet above the ground.... he JUMPED!!! free fell through the vacuum of space... re-entered the atmosphere... deployed his shoot... and landed

that's pretty damn hardcore

and i am impressed as shit that Felix Baumgartner is going to attempt to break the record for height and free fall speed... but i would STILL have to give the #1 spot to the guy who did it first

He didn't leave the atmosphere or free fall through space. It is widely recognized that NASA claims space starts at 50 miles up while the European body that regulates competitive aeronautics claims that 62 miles up is the beginning of space.

Yeah if you are the first person to hit almost 20 miles above the surface in a God damn balloon you are a badass. Add to the fact that once you hit that level you say hey, you know what we should do? Jump from this mother fucker and do 614 mph while we are at it.

Long story short, I wish I were as manly as these dudes.

i am ALWAYS more impressed with people who do shit a long time ago.

think about it....

"i jumped out of a balloon at 100,000 feet with my helmet, parachute, and king kong sized balls" (VS.) "I jumped out at 120,000 with with a wing suit, chute, oxygen, 1,000 medics, and a super scientific flight suit"

or

"I jumped 10 buses with a cafe racer while i was drunk" (VS.) "I jumped the grand canyon with this 200hp honda 500 with a full tune and corporate sponsors".

I could go on like this forever. Old dudes always, ALWAYS win imho.

The dude looked like he had a "flight suit" and oxygen also, though I think the balloon probably didn't go any higher(or I may be wrong?) I suggest wingsuit, because no one has done range or very high horizontal speed.
